Probably not the right thing legally, but there are times living in HNE where you just have to take the bull by the horn and run with it. Obviously the city refuses to do anything about illegal dumping so it is up to the neighbors to handle it.

I agree with 5:58 and all comments posted. I have a neighbor who has party's on his deck and despite free trash pick up they throw their beer cans and bottles into the shared green space behind our homes. My view from my deck is a pile of beer cans and even the cardboard container. They are renters in an otherwise owner occupied neighborhood. I am not going to fight with someones tenant. I left a sign on their tree asking them not to trash our neighborhood. Yes, it was ignored.

ReplyDeleteThis guy did the right thing, except I would have checked to make sure somebody was home and spoken with them about how their trash was misplaced along that corridor. The man in the video obviously had some aggression in his voice and demeanor (frustration, possibly) - so maybe a confrontation by this man was inappropriate.

Can't believe it takes less energy to load up a bunch of trash to dump on so some road than to just place the trash on the curb for trash day. I will never get my head around that.
ReplyDeleteSo on pickup morning I collect a few trash bags from the yards of a couple of my favorite ass hole neighbors. Then I dump the bags and this yahoo picks them up and dumps the contents in my neighbors yards. Wonderful plan. If the guy gets caught it is his ass and even if my neighbors deny everything no one will believe them. Oh hell yeah!
