An important note about a Kansas City health concern fight that's going unmentioned despite recent real estate moves.

Centerpoint Properties and ETC Institute of Olathe is sending out a survey to South Kansas City residents to assess what the community really knows about the environmental contamination and potential lingering hazards at the site being considered for development.
It innocently enough appears to be a well meaning survey from a developer 'concerned" about the image development in the area but it also appears to be a smoke screen for figuring out how much residents in the area already know about the environmental problems and what "feel good" things can the talking heads project to distract from such concerns.
Please make readers aware of the issue of the Federal Govt DOD/DOE/GSA trying to sell off this site and make the on going problems with environmental contaminates go away.
This area and for several miles around it needs to be evaluated for health issues such as cancer hotspots or developmental disability clusters. The Feds have so far been able to get the Mo DNR to turn their heads as the property is DOD/DOE and anything that occurred their is "classified" but workers are still trying to receive coverage for what exposures to multiple toxins and heavy metals have done to them.
