Tonight the worst band in the history of popular music is playing in Kansas City.
Nickelback is bringing their special brand of horrible to the half-billion dollar taxpayer subsidized Sprint Center.
The plan for economic development is that concertgoers are supposed to visit The P&L District across the street before or after the show and bring this town some much needed revenue. Sadly, in this case that's not going to work because Nickelback fans are broken in mind, body and spirit AND they all have to report to work at the Piggly-Wiggly in Independence, MO promptly @ 7 in the AM tomorrow morning and/or meet their probation officer around lunchtime.
The crowd for this tragic concert isn't anything special and their "economic impact" is probably limited to a dozen t-shirt sales as a gag or real world fashion "do not disturb" sign.
But I digress . . . The point is: Billions of dollars and counting have been

ReplyDeleteTh Sprint Center has proven another city government FAILURE! the citizens who voted for them (the politicians that made that happen) have wasted YOUR money, it not your fault, you believe what you are told, promised and expect what they say they will deliver.
ReplyDeleteWhen are people going to understand the crime of politics, the motivation they have to promise you the world, change or anything else usually never happens in the way they sold it to you! The proof is in the history!. Local, state and National government need a system of accountability, That should be held, run and executed by the citizens through a well supported legal non profit organization!!!! Problem is every non profit organization is over seen and dictated by the government so good luck with that! What you see here is what you get, you cant fight it but they expect you to pay for it, Its the greatest scam you will ever experience in your lifetime!
