James Johann At Stanfords! Local Guy Makes Good!
James Johann looked like Opie from the Andy Griffin Show, Ron Howard, when he hit the stage at Stanfords in Westport back in the late 1990's. It was an open mic night on Monday. He was fresh face and nervous, but damn funny for a first timer.
James would slowly rise to be an area headliner and make a living as a comic, then in his mid 20's. A few years later Johann worked at Stanfords in front of William Morris Agents. They were searching for that certain someone. It ended up being James Johann. The agents sat through two evenings of auditions. They chose Johann and another young comic, Nikki Glaser. Today Nikki has her second tv show, she now lives in New York and is with CAA.
Johann was selected to become part of a new comedy group, The Blue Collar Tour. It would include Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Ron White. They opened their tour at Universal Studios Theater. I was there. James was great. Maybe too good. It was soon decided to put Johann with their hottest star on a seperate stadium tour, Larry the Cable Guy. Larry of course also worked with the Blue Collar Guys but Johann only worked with Larry. So it cost James a fortune and national fame, since the Blue Collar Tour itself became legendary. James also went out with Jeff Foxworthy. I worked with all of them and Johann matches up to any of the guys with his talent. But fame is the name of the game.
Johann has since become a regular on Comedy Central and CMTV as the 'Rural Genius' he also does that on national radio, was on with Johnny Dare here as the Genius. You've seen him on late night with people like Craig Ferguson.
James Johann is one of the few area comics to make a nice living and go on television nationally out of Kansas City. Others lately are Steve Kramer, Nikki Glasser and AJ Finney. All will be at Stanfords where they began their careers over the next couple of months. Next week its super hot AJ Finney.

Amazing how everything I could find about james not a word one mentioned about the Glazer clan nor how he got started at Stanfords.
Fucking Glazer just lies out his ass all the time.
boy do haters hate. I'm James pal, he started at Stanfords. He gives props to them when he can. He worked at the westport club for years and has done all the rest of stanfords. guy at 8:37 is an asshole.
ReplyDeleteI know these sites have people that are miserable and hate on others for no reason. Been going to Craig's clubs for years. His family does a service to this city by bringing in comedy and entertainment stars you wouldn't see in a small venue. I served on a charity board with Craig for 7 years. We did countless events for charity and to help those in need. Craig helped me when my 'friends' didn't. A great guy. Turns my stomach when I see these stories and comments from such horrible people for no reason. Thanks Craig for what you do for Kansas City.
ReplyDelete10:43 and 6:40 is all bullshit written by Craig or his writer. 8:27 is right spot on the money with what was said. James own website don't say a word one about starting at Stanfords. But time and time again Glazer has been busted here and elsewhere in writing with his lies.
ReplyDeleteThe guy went to jail people he was a snitch and carried and used guns to commit crimes to pay for his lifestyle and you fools want me and others to think he is this great man. Craig never does a damn thing that isn't all about Craig.
6:40 that was court ordered community service work while he was on probation that he had to do so stop with your lying as well.

ReplyDeleteThe only people I have ever heard anything bad about Craig from are on here, the haters that most sites have. In real life Craig is very well liked. When he comes on stage at his club, loud ovations always. At our club he is one of the most popular men there. You people are just hateful about most things. Super Dave don't know you, but like the others you are wrong. I think yo all know that.
ReplyDeleteTed stop with the bullshit. Craig is very disliked not only here but a lot of places. I am sure most at his club like him, but remember that is only a small percentage of the people who live in KC. Plus as one commentor said he is a snitch a criminal and con artist and that is a lot of things to ask people to forgive. He has capitalized on his crime while his victims suffered. Plus remember dipshit he got his best friend killed when he ran and hid like the pussy he is. So don't come in here preaching what a great guy he is.
