Kansas City media is abuzz this morning over increasing local suburban crime.
An overnight McDonald's heist proves that it's not only the inner suburbs taking a hit as violence escalates early this year.
Sure, fast food robbery isn't "sexy" but once again demonstrates that moving far away from civilization among a strip mall paradise still doesn't protect locals from the impact of of random violence.

Fox4: Police said that just after 1 a.m. the suspect forced two employees at gunpoint into a freezer at the restaurant and then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money.
KMBC: A lone gunman stormed into the McDonalds at 119th Street and Roe Avenue overnight, forcing employees in the restaurant into a freezer and taking cash.
KSHB: There were no customers at the restaurant at the time of the robbery, according to police.
KCTV5: A white, newer model Chevy Impala was seen speeding from the scene. Officers are looking for a man in his 20's, last seen wearing a black hoodie with a baseball hat and a scarf around his face.
