Along with calling streetcar critics liars, the Mayor was forced to admit that he's gonna raise taxes . . . Again.

Why not re-elect the Fat Bowtie right now? What woukd it take for the citizens to rid themselves of this municipal vermin? An endless succession of tax increases? Multi billions added on to the municipal debt? An unnecessary multi billion dollar redo of the airport? A costly taxpayer subsidized and backed 1,000 room downtown hotel? Pouring endless amounts of money into the constantly rejected streetcar?

ReplyDeleteNote I didnt even bother discussing the sewer pipe upgrade... The result of decades of deferred maintenance of the sewer system by all of our superstar former Mayors. I think they have drawn down a billion in bond money... anyone know how that money was spent? Anyone watching? And, as an added bonus, the Star reported (for what that is worth) that the total cost of the sewer project has ballooned from $2 billion to somewhere around $3.5-$4 billion. Anyone figure out where that is going to come from? Just look st your water/sewer bill :(
