Here's the word:

McManus Files for 6th District City Council

Kansas City, Missouri . . . State Representative Kevn McManus announced today that he has filed and been certified as a candidate for City Council in the 6th District. John Sharp, current 6th District Councilman, is unable to run again due to term limits. McManus said, "over the past several months, many of my friends, supporters and constituents in South Kansas City have been urging me to run for City Council and after considerable thought, I have decided to file for this office."

McManus also said, "As a fifth generation Kansas Citian, I care deeply about the future of our city. My time representing South Kansas City in the state legislature has been productive, by state policy is by its nature less connected fo the crucial day-to-day issues we face at home. I hope to continue to serve in a role that will have a more direct impact on the future of our city by enhancing economic opportunities and improving the quality of life of our residents."

Kevin is active in the South Kansas City Alliance, a coalition of neighborhood organizations, civic, educational and faith-based institutions, non-profits, and businesses dedicated to bringing about a unified vision for south Kansas City. He serves as co-chair of the SKC Alliance's Strategic Planning Committee and has helped lead the group's effort to define priorities and strategies for improving the quality of life in South Kansas City for future generations.

  1. What are his views on unsolicited bulk e-mail?

  2. Another career politician planning to slip into office on a sled of platitudes and meaningless BS.

The South Kansas City Alliance that McManus is connected with is a vehicle for extending John Sharp's career after he steps down from the City Council, and their "unified vision" means "don't disagree with our re-hashed Chamber of Commerce PR". Or else.

  4. So those of us who haven't been here for 5 generations care less above the city?

  5. American style places commas and periods inside the quotation marks, even if they are not in the original material. British style (more sensibly) places unquoted periods and commas outside the quotation marks. For all other punctuation, the British and American styles are in agreement: unless the punctuation is part of the quoted material, it goes outside the quotation marks.

  6. I will be voting for the SPLENDIDLY SUPERIOR white candidate! YES we are superior! We set the standards for humanity ~ everything of greatness came from us. We are NOT on the same level as the Non-Whites, how can a lesser race gain the status of equality when Nature and God does not permit for such a repugnant act?

Negros are handicapped for a start ~ automatically rendering them inferior, The average Negro brain weighs in at 35 ounces, an Ape brain weighs 20 ounces while a white mans brain weighs in at 45 ounces, Black do not have the brain capacity to be creative. The cranial sutures of the Negro skull close much earlier then other races and Apes. This restricts development of the brain, giving them an inherent mental inferiority (low IQ).

There for there is no such thing as racial equality. We can have a certain degree of respect for the lesser races, but complete equality is nonsense! who here thinks that Australian Aborigines are our equals? If you think this, Gorillas and Chimpanzees also have the right to claim these socialistic “human rights” of universal equality.

The term "Separate but Equal" is nonsense!

General equality would not advance the cause of the individual, but would hurl everyone back to the conditions of the subhumans.

  7. "...and after considerable thought, I have decided to file for this office."

And after not seeing any State-level opportunities to further his political career before he is term-limited out of office.

  8. Fuck his views on anything. What a fucking babe! I'd suck that off in 3 seconds.

  9. He out of high school yet?

  10. I hope not.

  11. McManus is one of the most trusted servants in the U. S. He works with and for his constituents.

  12. I'd fuck him in the ass, rub my cock on his tits and cum in his mouth!

    Who gives a shit?
Does he like to get his cock sucked?

  14. 4:10, 4:59, 5:00: I was just wondering what he'd do to get my vote.

  15. McManus just pledged to represent south KC in Jeff City. Now he's decided he wants to take that back and run for a city office. It doesn't sound like he's very dependable. I guess he thinks if he loses he still has that cushy job in Jeff City. Seems like he's looking out for himself more than any constituents.

  16. And that would make him different from any other politician...how?

  17. QUOTE OF THE DAY1/13/15, 6:45 PM

“America is at that awkward stage. It’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards. On the road to tyranny, we’ve gone so far that polite political action is about as useless as a miniskirt in a convent.”

  18. So McManus has been involved with the South Kansas City Alliance which is a political organization started by John Sharp. I find it interesting that he hasn't actually been involved with any community or neighborhood groups.

  19. Ex Mayor of Grand view?

  20. South Kansas City Alliance agenda item: extend the streetcar to the Cerner campus so their high paid employees can live in Westport, Plaza, Brookside and have free transportation to work. McManus is for the streetcar expansion.

    ReplyDelete
  21. No biggie there, 9:29. The streetcar is writing its own obituary as its construction makes downtown off limits to anyone who doesn't live there.

  22. Wow. Very next day after the big announcement and McManus is using John Sharp's goon squad to attack his major opponent Terrence Nash.

This negative campaign has taken the form of "push poll" that asks questions designed to give the voter a biased opinion on a candidate or issue. In this case, they are trying to paint Nash as "against everything".

In the previous cycle, Sharp spread rumors among his liberal friends that Nash was a "Tea Bagger", while saying something quite different to his conservative friends.

    It's all bullshit.

  23. Will the Alliance be creating a paying job for Sharp after he's termed off the council?
    Inquiring minds want to know.
