ReplyDeleteCindy's gig at KCPL will last only as long as her influence does... her only chance is to stand-up for TGR and hope that TGR wins and returns the favor when Cindy needs to prove to her bosses that she can still deliver the goods. Cindy's only other option is to go back to nails, which doesn't pay nearly as well...

ReplyDeleteMost of the people who vote, vote for someone with whom they are comfortable. Someone who seems like them, or at least, as they would like to be. After all, these people ARE meant to represent their constituents. Do they have to first prove that they are better than their constituents? Do you want the middle class working people to believe that they are unworthy of holding office, because they only have regular jobs?
Your insistence that ordinary people are intrinsically unqualified is elitism.
