TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! FIRST KANSAS CITY 2015 ELECTION CYCLE ENDORSEMENTS BREAK ON THIS BLOG: NORTHLAND COUNCIL CONTENDER JASON HODGES EARNS FORWARD KC SUPPORT ALONG WITH SURPRISING SLATE!!!

The Kansas City election season is off to a surprising start with and a Northland political group sending a clear message that they're ready to break from the status quo or at least shake things up in a few hotly contested races.

To wit . . .

KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDERS REVEAL FIRST TO OUR TKC BLOG COMMUNITY THAT FORMER MAYORAL STAFFER JASON HODGES LEADS THIS SURPRISING 2015 FORWARD KC ENDORSEMENT LIST!!!

2nd District At-Large Kansas City Council Candidate Jason Hodges is a relatively unknown political power player despite his high profile former job. The endorsement is a surprise win given that his opponent Teresa Loar already has the support of termed-out councilman Ed Ford and the former Council Lady also has a great many connections throughout the metro. Still, THE MOST AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS reveal that support for Mr. Hodges was solid, enthusiastic and hoping to send a new contender to Council Chambers for the Northland.

For those who don't know, Forward KC is an upstart political group with a great deal of experience that is now coming into play given the rising population numbers of the Northland.

About the endorsements . . . We don't care what they decide about Mayor Sly because right now all of the action is at the council level. Also, Forward KC only endorses At-Large candidates and In-District candidates in districts that cross the river.

Accordingly . . .

Check the rest of the Forward KC endorsements FIRST on TKC . . .

2nd District In-District Dan Fowler

Maybe the only proof in this KCMO election cycle that nice guys finish first.

1st District In-District: Incumbent Councilman Dick Davis

Another shocker . . . This is a tight race and a crowded field with a lot of competition. This endorsement win for Councilman Davis represents a new breath of life into his campaign against tough competition talking a lot about public safety and education.

1st District At-Large: Incumbent Councilman Scott Wagner

This was a safe choice and Mr. Wagner is this year's model of an At-Large council dude even though he has really slimmed down and this photo doesn't do him justice.

3rd District At-Large: Quinton Lucas

An important nod here for Mr. Lucas continues an impressive winning streak from one of the more impressive Council Candidates.

4th District In-District: John Fierro

BIG SHOCK HERE AND EPIC FORWARD KC UPSET ENDORSEMENT FOR JOHN FIERRO!!!

What we've heard back is that Sen. Jolie is acting like she already has the job and simply mailing in her appearances. Strangely enough, very few people are convinced that Sen. Jolie will advocate for anyone besides that LGBT community and the constant American culture war doesn't play well across the bridge.

4th District At-Large: Incumbent Councilman Jim Glover

Another surprising pick here even though it's with an incumbent. Forward KC was burned by Council Dude Glover last time around and they know his name recognition rings out throughout the metro.

5th District At-Large: Lee Barnes, Jr.

LEE BARNES, JR. TAKES A STUNNING ENDORSEMENT VICTORY OVER TGR!!!

Listen, we've told you that Garza Ruiz residency questions are more substantial than people think and we've told you this FIRST and again and again.

6th District At-Large: Incumbent Councilman Scott Taylor

He's unopposed and this is really about locking up the next election cycle.

Now . . .

Insiders acknowledge that fundraising has been tight so THESE FIRST ENDORSEMENTS DEBUTING ON TKC ARE A BIG DEAL . . . And possibly the start of a surprising and eventful Kansas City election cycle now in full swing.

Developing . . .

  1. Damn dude.

You REALLY get into this politics stuff.

    Don't be such a nerd.

    Nice list though.

  2. We are waiting for the TKC endorsement list :)

  3. And once again over half the population of the metro says in a huge chorus:
THANK GOD FOR STATE LINE ROAD!

Has the formerly powerful and mostly listened to only by himself Yael T Abouhalkah published his list of favored council titans.. It will be interesting to so this self aggrandizing nobody chime in on the upcoming election. Sort of like a guide who not to vote for :( What say ye Yale T Abouhalkah? Since so few actually read your column any more, maybe its time to start posting on the TKC blog :) Or should we watch that blip on the dial Ruckus to actually see and hear what you have to say? Memo to Yael... more people look at TKC than those who look at your column and Ruckus combined.

  5. Any councilman alleging he is "new leadership" under the current regime is a lunatic. None of the incumbents should be re-elected. Not one. They need to find a real job.

  6. Inafunkaboutyael1/30/15, 6:38 AM

Yael will NEVER post on TKC. He no longer allows people to post comments on his column without censoring. My guess is that he either doesnt care what people have to say or is afraid of what he'd read. Ahhhhhh, Yael.... look what you have become :( It's sad dude! Time to pack it in and free up some salary money so the Star will be able to fire a few less staffers... most if not all of whom contribute more to the hapless KC Star than you do any more :(

  7. Amen to anon 632...

  8. I only agree with TKC about this one. These endorsements mean money, most of the corporations were waiting to see who won the endorsements before they cut a check including Burns and Mac.

  9. The Northland is home to a grand number of good Catholics. John Fierro is a family man, and a son of The Church. It should not be a surprise that a Northland political club would choose the good Catholic over the pervert.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Does this group represent enough votes to fire a worthless City Manager?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Another day, and another endless chorus of fire the city manager ^^^^^^^^, fix the pot holes, stop the airport, remove the rails, and get all the blacks out Kansas City.

    Denizens.

    Last free speech zone.

    YES, WE HAVE MEANING!

    hahahahahahahahahahahah

  16. 7:18 Very good point. Same with Scott Wagner. Wonderful Catholic family man.

  17. Jermaine needs to be taught a lesson and lose. He is only serving his own interest, never shows up for meetings, travels way too much and does nothing but lip service.

The 5th and 3rd have not had good representation by the past council both in district and at large. Time for new blood.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Any list that endorses Dick Davis immediately discredits itself. It's amazing to me that he can even remember which district he represents. Then again, if one is looking for a puppet, he's a good pick.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Now we start hearing from the sore losers.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Will they represent us? Or represent CK's "house of cousins" consisting of developers, engineering firms, a law firm, and the assorted marketing shills trying to help us out of our money.

    ReplyDelete
  21. CK's "house of cousins"

    LMAO!

    ReplyDelete
  22. If they chose an incumbent especially scott wagner peddling citizenship to the chinese when even the united states itself has stopped doing business with this communist nation because of its theft of american technology, flooding the market with US Currency, child labor laws, citizen labor abuse then shame the fuck on you KC if you vote for this person.
He is nothing more than a moron who is ill equipped to bring anything to his district and lives on others reputations, my first conversation I had with this man he was taking credit for something that was a complete and utter lie but was so long ago you couldnt prove it so why make an issue of it and if he is catholic like 9:33 says .. then he is catholic by convenience

    ReplyDelete
  23. Not surprised at all with the Forward Kansas City endorsement for Dick Davis. Look at the Officers and Board of Forward KC. Its a good ole boy network.

Would you believe that KCMO pays and assistant city manager 160K to exclusively troll TKC, Facebook, and Twitter. Seriously.

  33. Once again politicians who couldn't get elected dog catcher in many of the local burbs.

Why does KC proper have such fucking rubes?
