ReplyDeleteRacial profiling is a categorical success. The precipitious decline in crime, in New York City and other cities, when in effect, is proof of the need to stop, question and frisk African Americans if the goal is to reduce crime.
The mayor knows this, that chick probably does not. Her world view on any and everything, is, as with most blacks, seen ONLY through the prism that is the color of their skin, which, in conjunction with the "Narrative" she has cellularly imbued in her psyche by her "Thought Leaders" in the 4th Estate, the halls of Academe, the entertainment industry and various and sundry politicians, "Community Organizers" and militants, leaves her little ability to actually see why African American crime is so dramatically disproportionate per capita and in real time.
The "Hands Up" meme works well with folks like this, modestly qualified to understand the "Narrative" as presented to begin with and certainly in no way nuanced enough to see the truth.
Even after her own little kid is killed in a drive by, she will believe that the responsibility for the through and through her own kid's chest is "White Privilege".

ReplyDeleteThe overwhelming belief of this blog appears to be that in order to reduce crime we must sign away our liberties. Could it be that we have both a crime and police problem? This isn't a race issue, cops are killing whites at a scary rate. But the police killings arent the worst of it. Many of them are justified, but the harrassment is unacceptable. DUI checkpoints, civil asset forfeiture, red light cameras, and the mass surveillance by the NSA effect every person, regardless of color.

Chuck, do you support the actions of the NSA? Do you support red light cameras? Do you support civil asset forfeiture without ever having been charged with a crime? You seem like a very intelligent man, and I agree with you about the propaganda we hear. But these are real issues with very serious consequences. It would help me understand you stance on the issue of police if you'd answer your stance on the above issues.

ReplyDeleteNow, everyone who reads this blog should know that Chief Forte recently gave a speech to a minority crowd telling them that he'll need their support when he implements changes (lowers standards/discriminates) in order to recruit and promote minorities on an unequitable basis.
The real irony here is that both men whom she spoke with do NOT represent the black community.
Obama was raised, educated, and adopted the ways of mainstream white society. Punahou Prep school, Princeton and Harvard Law. Nearly all of Obama's long-time friends and supporters are white. He only uses his "blackness" to manipulate people.
Sly James began life authentically urban black, but his family's success via hard work, started affording him a leg up. Military service helped with his education through law school. He's an example of a black man who learned to advance in a white-dominated profession. As a result, he has largely left the urban black community behind with financial success, a white wife, and respect from liberal whites.
Well fair enough, thanks for your honesty. While I agree with you some issues this is one where we differ. less than 3200 Americans have been killed in the US by terrorism since the 1970's over 90% of those died from one incident 9/11. While I mourn for every life lost, I don't forget the millions that gave their life to defend these freedoms. And giving up our liberties and bowing to the 600 million Muslims, I believe is a slap in the face to the memory of those soldiers.

I know my inquiry was regarding the NSA, I should have stated that these mass collections aren't only being used for National Security reasons, and the government has admitted as much so there is NO QUESTION as to the validity of my statement.

"Think mass surveillance is just the wheelhouse of agencies like the NSA? Think again. One of the biggest concerns to come from the revelations about the NSA’s bulk collection of the phone records of millions of innocent Americans was that law enforcement agencies might be doing the same thing. It turns out this concern was valid, as last week the government let slip for the first time that the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) had also been collecting the phone records of Americans in bulk since the 1990s."
In a response to have evidence in a case excluded the government was asked about how information was collected.
" The government responded that it wasn’t the NSA database and refused to give the court or the defendant any more information about the database—but asked the court to assume the information had been obtained unconstitutionally. That’s right—the government stated that the database it used was unconstitutional. Unsurprisingly, such an admission got a few raised eyebrows, including the judge overseeing the case, who noted that the government left him in a “difficult, and frustrating, situation.”"
"Keep in mind that the DEA engaged in bulk collection not for national security purposes, but instead for routine criminal investigation. The government has consistently argued that the national security character of § 215 excuses the government from the Fourth Amendment’s warrant requirement. But the government cannot hide behind that argument here. While investigating and prosecuting drug trafficking is of course a legitimate law enforcement goal, Fourth Amendment protections are at their strongest when the government’s purpose is investigating crime, rather than some other non-criminal interest."
