TKC Question: Do You Agree With Dead Tree Media Pushing Body Cameras For All Kansas City Police Departments???

In the aftermath of the #Ferguson uprising, once again Kansas City Dead Tree Media is pushing an agenda and letting editorial bleed into news coverage . . . Pretty much like a blogger.

Newspaper: "Officers in Grandview, Leawood, Lenexa, Merriam and Raytown are among those already using the cameras. Other departments, including Kansas City’s, are weighing their options."

And so . . .

THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION HERE IS WHAT THE PUBLIC WANTS: SHOULD KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI POLICE WEAR BODY CAMERAS???

We have polling on this topic coming soon.

Stay tuned . . .

  6. All the folks so enthusiastic about cameras need to take into account that the vast majority of the time video from car cameras is used to resolve an issue, it shows how badly the citizen behaved and how restrained the police were in their actions.
Which is all very good if you're really interested in observing actual interactions between the police and others, but probably not so much if you think cameras are going to advance your pre-determined agenda.
What do you think a body camera would have shown in the Michael Brown case?

  7. Ah hell Tony! We have a**holes doing selfies and instagrams! Can't eat a decent meal without a cell going off. We are not the same virginal nation from the past. Good God we all got a look at that Kardasian prostitute's rear whether we wanted to see it or not.

Body cams now! GoPro could make a lot of easy money.

  8. there would be less to argue about in MB case if body camera had been used.

  9. Actually, in the Michael Brown case, there'd be NOTHING left to argue about.
And to all the folks who somehow think that only the police sometimes behave inappropriately, and that cameras will consistently show as much, I can only say, be very careful what you wish for.

  10. If we go to body cameras I am wondering what will the Sharptons, Holders and Jacksons have left to bitch about?

A camera wouldn't have helped. The video would have proved exactly what Officer Wilson testified to, but the facts don't matter.

Hell, there is a video of the piece of shit thug robbing a store and choking the clerk 20 minutes before he (Brown) gets shot and the media and race grifters all said that it was irrelevant and "impugned Michael Brown's character".

What a fuckin hoot. It's like the Racial Twilight Zone. The video does impugn MB's character and it proves, without a doubt that he was a violent, low life thug piece of shit like millions of other black low life pieces of shit.

The Cultural Revolution impugned Mao's Character. The murders on 127th and Wornall by Branden Howell ((Another filthy disgusting feral animal) impugned his character. All those dead guys impugned the character of Eileen Waurnos.

These fucking politicians and so called journalists have gotten away with lying so much, so often, in pursuit of that Liberal agenda, that even when there is video of absolute, metaphysical evidence of wrongdoing, if it does not fit the agenda, just lie or pretend it doesn't exist.

Fuck Michael Brown, his family, his relatives, his friends his supporters, the Rams, the media and any fucking fool stupid enough to believe that he stood for anything other than violence, stupidity and failure.

  12. If it helps the cops prove their case I am all for it. If it is to prove police brutality it may help weed out the bad cops. But really once this starts happening how long before we are all fitted with implanted cameras so we can be watched?

  13. Usually both sides behave better on camera, but it would certainly eliminate a lot of false claims of "victims" of police brutality.
