KCMO police investigate homicide in parking garage near Power & Light District
Update from police: "This morning at approximately 3am, officers responded to the Power and Light parking garage (151 East 13th St) in regard to a shooting. Upon arrival officers located a shooting victim (w/m mid 20's) with no signs of life. He was pronounced dead a short time later. Witnesses say the victim and suspect (b/m with long braids) were arguing prior to the suspect shooting the victim. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. Witnesses say the suspect fled the scene in a small to medium size black suv. Anyone with information is urged to call the TIPS Hotline at 816.474.8477."

I don't understand why the answer to gun violence is always to ban guns. Education is a much more proactive way to handle this problem. Urban youth are not receiving the education or investment that they're owed; if we spent more time and effort to raise these kids right, many of these problems, not just gun violence, would correct themselves.
