Kansas City political denizens have lamented the watered down cross-market approach of KMBZ over recent years and now it seems a change is in order.

This is a glorious day for Conservatives throughout the metro who never appreciated the mainstream attempt.
Here's the word from people much smarter than TKC:
KMBZ, currently simulcasting on 980am and 98.1 FM is splitting on January 5th. 980 will be a truly political station (mostly syndicated) and 98.1 will focus on local talk programming.
AM line up will be :
5a-9a Darla Jaye (with 'permission' to go back to a political focus)
9a-11a Glenn Beck LIVE (was running at night)
11a-2p Rush Limbaugh LIVE
2p-5p Sean Hannity LIVE (was running on KCMO-AM, but he's no longer working with Cumulus)

I certainly don't agree with every nutty idea either mainstream party comes up with, and they do come up with some real doozies, but I'm aware that things have changed since 1964.
980 AM will have me as a listener all day. Real freedom loving Americans talking about the problems and solutions we face. Every day I would get up and turn off 98.1 when liberal loons Dana and Parks came on. Thanks 980!

ReplyDeleteThis is obviously something the market was needing for a long time, the folks that spend the money will listen, the Air American FM version can handle the Star supporters, I would give each format the opportunity to entertain me, but many times the limit was 5 min. will be fun.
