More Kansas City Propaganda Against The Homeless Courtesy Of City Hall

Here's more of the City Hall campaign to make people fear the homeless . . . Meanwhile, the behind the scenes struggle has more to do with gentrification and a fight between social services agencies over resources:

Public safety reminder when helping the homeless

"The City of Kansas City, Missouri has an important message regarding a recent incident that highlights a potentially dangerous public safety situation when providing meals for the homeless at certain locations.

Kansas City, Missouri Police recently discovered that five registered sex offenders were living in a wooded area within 500 feet of a park and 1000 feet of two elementary schools. Per Missouri Statutes 566.148, 566.149, and 566.150, sex offenders are not allowed in these areas for the protection of children. Four of the five sex offenders have previous convictions for child molestation, an offense that unfortunately has a 67% recidivism rate.

Arrest warrants have been issued for these convicted sex offenders. The impacted schools have been notified as well.

As part of this investigation it was determined food services were being delivered to the registered sex offenders within that restricted area near the park and schools. This places the offender at risk of violating state law as well as greatly increasing chances the offender will commit another offense."

  1. Tony felons have a 66 percent repeat offese rate so the pervs are no different, except we ought to be registering felons instead of some guy who pisses in a parking lot. KCPD needs a homeless outreach program like Omaha and Wichita. They'll not only be doing everyone a service, but they will clear some damn cases too.

  2. Considering how many of our homeless guests have spent time in either Wichita or Omaha, those programs must be just great!

  3. could do like they used to do, buy a one way ticket to DC, offer to take the to the bus stop, and let DC deal with it.

but i am proud of these protesters. they are constructively letting their voices be heard.

  4. ^Yeah, really seems to be helping. I am seeing a 5000% reduction in homelessness due to some signs and a protest.
