ReplyDeleteDear Ms. Bones: I have never met you so I assume that you are sincere in your activities--as Saint Thomas More said: "I have no window with which to peer into another man's soul." But, on behalf of the embattled black neighborhoods of America, I would like to plead with you to stop your activities. All you are doing to unleashing a massive crime wave in every black neighborhood in America. As of Dec. 15, 2014 there had been 149 homicides in Saint Louis for 2014--compared to 111 at this time in 2013. Almost all of the increase in victims is in the city's black neighborhoods--and it is due to the controversy over Ferguson. There are preliminary but alarming signs that such a crime surge in taking place in a number of black neighborhoods around the nation. You may think that you are helping the black population of America, but you are not: In 2012 (the last year for which we have stats) there were 136 blacks killed by police; out of a homicide total of about 6500 black homicide victims in 2012. Cops are not the ones killing thousands of young black men--it is the gangs and the criminal elements. All you are doing is making the deadly work of these criminal elements easier.
