Significant spike in Kansas City flu cases

"Doctors in Kansas City are reporting a significant spike in flu cases. The Kansas City Health Department says there were 510 reports of flu last week in KCMO residents seen by docs in the city. That’s up from 324 the week before. The number is higher than at this time in the past three flu seasons. The department adds that many more cases aren’t reported."

The news reports aren't even scratching the surface here in much the same way the Ebola coverage was guided by hospital PR flacks and a more than a few rumors of cases strangely disappearing didn't touch mainstream reports. In this instance, we advise against shaking hands with anybody not only to avoid lying during the holidays but also because people are nasty.
