It's not just the fact that best practices are not in use, it is the scam some of these hospital corporations like HCA use to bill the patients for their unsanitary environment.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows that MRSA originates in the hospital environment about 97 percent of the time. So what do the hospitals do? Most often with surgeries, they have these infectious disease doctors that will prescribe weeks of patients getting IV's of very expensive antibiotics to prevent MRSA and then they turn around and bill YOU up to $20 and more to protect you from the possibility of getting an infection from something originating in their facility. This is a freaking racket and in any other business would be fraud.
Not one damn state has mustered the balls to force higher sanitary standards in these hospitals. I guess they are too busy making sure you get a clean plate for each trip to the buffet. Jesus!!!
