TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL: AMID ROUTINE KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE VIGIL ACTIVIST ALONZO WASHINGTON PRESSES FOR ROYALS ANGEL HOOPER TRIBUTE!!!
The latest horrific murder of a child once again encourages community denizens and a great many taxpayer funded social service agencies and groups to hold another homicide vigil.
There has always been some criticism of these vigils but those harsh words aren't shared when the same post-homicide gatherings are emulated when tragic violence inevitably finds its way to suburban communities.
Tonight a vigil is planned for 6PM tonight @ Sycamore Park about two blocks away from where the tragic shooting occurred on Friday night.
KCPD Chief of police recently tweeted a photo of protestors asking for tips in front of the 7-11.
Everyone has a right to grieve however they see fit . . . However, Kansas City Activist Alonzo Washington has something of greater consequence in mind.

Elect some local leaders who have the guts to tell the truth, identify the homicide problem as being behavior and not weapons, stop bowing to and funding the usual suspects who have done very well for themselves even as their neighborhoods and community descends into chaos and support individuals, groups, and organizations that are actually working to accomplish goals one and two.
Leadership and courage from the official community; responsibility and no more tired excuses from the black community.
