MUST READ!!! KC BLOGGER BILL TAMMEUS WARNS AGAINST ROYALS IDOLATRY!!!

Kansas City newsman legend Bill Tammeus is formerly a Dead Tree media faith writer, he pens articles now and then for the National Catholic Reporter and he often shares his unique spiritual perspective via his blog but without room for public comment.

And so . . .

CHECK THIS EPIC POST FROM BLOGGER BILL TAMMEUS WARNING FANS AGAINST MAKING THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS INTO FALSE GODS!!!

Sage wisdom and money line from the longtime Kansas City newsman:

"Think about the choices you've made about the World Series. Did you decide to invest $1,000 or more for a ticket? Have you maxed out a credit card buying Royals gear -- shirts, hats, mugs and more? Will all that money spent mean you have less to give to your faith community or to help those in need? Did you skip a Wednesday evening gathering at your place of worship so you wouldn't miss the first pitch of last night's game? (And what a great game it was to win.)"

It's a perspective that's worth sharing and something that's missing from Kansas City mainstream media coverage.

  2. Let us remember that Tammeus and the Star were all for the bi-state and then the stadium tax that only Jackson County pays.

  3. Good to know that Bill's monopoly on virtue is still provides a golden shower of condescension from on high to coruscate and illuminate right and wrong for all we sinners.

If we all promise to wear sack cloth unitl the 7th inning stretch will God stop being mad at us?

By the way, nice suit Bill.

  4. I knew the tammeus family 30 years ago. Bill was a spoil sport then and he is now as well... Kc needs to have its day in the sun. Other cities are standing in the wings. Who knows if this will continue into another year? Red Sox won WS last year. They were in last place this year.

  5. Catholicism was built on corruption. The Vatican is as crooked as any other political machine that ever existed. Perhaps Bill should spend more time pondering the perverts running the church than the Royals. I'll bet those MLB players give more money to charitable causes than Bill does.

  6. We just do not have enough religious nuts in this country. We better call Al Queda to come train them.

  7. Good to know that Chuck's monopoly on stupidity still provides a fecal firehose of idiocy from down below to darken and depress right and wrong for all us normal people.

I think I'll pray to God to strike down Chuck Lowe with a horrible lingering painful disease, though obviously what I describe sounds a lot like his life now. So maybe my prayers have already been answered.

By the way, die horribly, Chuck. You maGood to know that Chuck's monopoly on stupidity still provides a fecal firehose of idiocy from down below to darken and depress right and wrong for all us normal people.

  8. Yet ONCE AGAIN, Mr. Tammeus adopts the Big Brother Knows Best mantle to lecture the weak-minded on how to make decisions and live their lives.

    What an ARROGANT PATRONIZING viewpoint!!!!

Perhaps Mr. Tammeus should simply live his OWN life and let it serve as an example for anyone who cares to pay heed.

Mr. Tammeus has struck out and needs to get back in the dugout, instead of calling other players names and inciting violence.

  9. Bill is morally gifted. This guy makes Byron look tolerable.

  10. I wish his god would stop 'blessing' us with all the birth defects that happen to the innocent children that he creates inside of every female.
    Think it could do that?

  11. Tammeus writes with such amazing clarity and lack of ambiguity, such as this gem----"No, I'm not saying that paying attention to the improbable Royals, now 1-1 in the World Series, this fall and cheering on the boys in blue is idolatry. I'm just saying that in some cases it might well be exactly that."

And does Mr. Tammeus really want you to contract cancer to teach you a lesson for having been selfish in closely following the Royals success?

Mr. Tammeus is a spiteful switch-hitter.
