RIP Kemper arena I seen many a concert in that building back in the day, I must mention though that every time I went to it I would always ask why did they build it in this crappy part of the city?

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone in this town give a shit about the American Royal other than a few fat assed reporters who find it an easy place to get a plate full of BBQ and an easy feature story? It is not like that shot hole in the West Bottoms is home of the Clydesdales.

ReplyDeleteThen 5 years from now when we've spent 10s of millions of dollars and the crowds don't come and all that equestrian center is is a playground for a handful of rich folk...just same shit different day with this city. Unbelievable. Then they wonder why KCMO's finances are so fucked up. No lessons learned from past mistakes. Just rinse and repeat.
I must have not been paying attention, wasn't AEG suppose to operate Kemper and book it with events. Oh that's right when they moved the Tractor Pull from Kemper to Sprint there were no more events for Kemper. Too bad!
