Just a couple of hours ago Kansas City Health director Rex Archer attempted to calm local fear regarding Ebola.
Once again the City Hall health official made a lame comparison of the scariest global pandemic to the flu or pneumonia. He also noted that Kansas City residents don't eat bush meat or directly deal with prep for burial so the conditions that contribute to Ebola spread don't exist here in this cowtown.
“I would be concerned if we had conditions here like West Africa,” he said. “We can manage Ebola.”
As far as managing, the KCMO health bureaucrat DID NOT ADDRESS these points that have dogged Kansas City and the local discourse . . .
- Kansas City healthcare workers say this town doesn't have enough Ebola hazmat suits. On the bright side . . . SEXY Ebola Halloween costumes are the NEW HOTNESS!!!
- No word about Ebola patient disappearances from Kansas City and the guy from TMC who was reportedly bleeding from every orifice after a trip to West Africa.
- Also no word of a KANSAS CITY CRACKDOWN ON MEDICAL PROS USING THE WORD EBOLA that has been confirmed among many medical pros.
Instead there were kinds words against "fear" and the same old flu comparison that seems quaint amid a growing threat across of this pandemic.
