MUST READ!!! MISSOURI STATE SENATOR JASON HOLSMAN COMMENTS ON TRAGIC KANSAS CITY TRIPLE HOMICIDE!!!

TKC NOTE: Here's a thoughtful note from a Kansas City elected official who lives near the Kansas City triple homicide crime scene . . .

Social Media Message From Missouri State Senator Jason Holsman:

"My heart goes out to the families of the victims lost to this senseless act of violence in South Kansas City last night and offer continued prayers for those still battling for their lives.

I want to commend the excellent police work done by the KCPD and thank the supporting resources provided by the FBI in bringing the suspect to justice. In a time where recent events across the country have placed police tactics at the center of political discussions, last night I witnessed the KCPD take swift action to manage a terrible tragedy and restore a sense of security to a community unaccustomed to this type of violent crime.

This happened less than 14 blocks from my house and I have campaigned in the Woodbridge neighborhood many times over the past few cycles. It's hard to understand what makes a person commit this horrendous act of taking innocent lives. Tragedies like this don't usually happen in our community but the truth is the fear of it happening exists everyday in other parts of our city.

There is no excuse, justification or reasoning for this violence to happen to anyone anywhere. This coming session I will engage my fellow Senators in an honest dialogue about the causes of violent crime and what can be done? We can't rely on policies focused on treating the symptoms we have to address the causes. That includes continuing adult education, mental health funding and providing better access to individual prosperity.

There are never easy answers or it would have already been solved. We have to keep trying. Please keep the victims and their families in your prayers today."

  1. mental health funding? education? access to prosperity? How about building more prisons to keep people locked up. Raise taxes for soemthing that will really benefit the community!

  2. hmmm....no. I disagree. This guy is normally okay, but today he is freaking out there and I mean way out there....

This is in poor taste and is bad.

Maybe he should have sat on this statement a while. If you re-read it, he is sorry but not sorry. This is kind of a slap in the face to the vics and the LE agencies involved.

This guy has now managed to create a grudge within some target demographics I wouldn't mess with.

  7. In reading these comments I can see some heartfelt statements if this were the Holsman who originally ran for office; but knowing the guy now, this comes off as purely political.

  11. Holsman,is another apologist. This piece of shit had a chance. He had a free education. He decided to murder a young girl in an attempt to steal some money. He got away with it and then killed three more innocent people. There are some fine black folks, but not enough. To many are selfish and stupid. They have kids too young and then do not take care of them. I lost any respect for blacks when I watched my black co-workers all jumping up and down when OJ Simpson was acquitted, a guilty mufu if there ever was one. Holsman is the problem, not a solution, vote for somebody else.

  12. Too bad they pulled the series "All my babies mommas"
The black community and Obama had a fit an kept this series off the tv.

It showed the real culture of the black family. 7 women with kids out of wedlock and living off the taxpayers and all the antics that go with have a black rapper as the father of the 10 kids by 7 black women and ther father doing noting to provide for his chirren.
