MUST READ!!! KANSAS CITY CONGRESSMAN CLEAVER KEEPS WORKING FOR FAIR WAGE!!!

In this latest EC from DC newsletter, Congressman Cleaver advocates against income disparity and shares ideas to jump-start the economy of Kansas City and the nation.

READ CONGRESSMAN CLEAVER ADVOCATING THE $10.10 MINIMUM WAGE!!!

Take a look at the effort and argument . . .

FROM CONGRESSMA CLEVER: DID YOU KNOW??

1. CEOs make more in an hour than fast food cooks make in a day.

2. Income inequality can have a big impact on students' education.

3. Early education can add up to one year of additional learning.

4. The Paycheck Fairness Act ensures effective protection against sex-based pay discrimination.

Not only protecting, but proactively jumpstarting the middle class is a priority of mine. This country’s middle class is the backbone of our nation, and we must create more good-paying jobs, support equal pay for women, and make a college education affordable.

Over August, we received good economic news with the addition of 142,000 jobs. Along with that, the unemployment rate dropped to 6.1%. We continue to move in the right direction, but we must work to move faster, and to do more.

We can do that by:

Raising the minimum wage to $10.10/hour

Making sure workers have access to affordable child care and guaranteed paid sick leave by enacting the Healthy Families Act

Strengthening the Violence Against Women Act

TOMORROW marks the 20th anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). That law has been critically important in our country, but, as we know, we still have a long way to go. In the last two decades VAWA has meant more services to victims, more police involvement with perpetrators, and more lives saved.

  2. Tony you keep touting this clowns dedication to raising the minimum wage to 10.10 an hour, yet you seemingly dont have the intellectual curiosity to question how much Cleaver paid his employees at his failed car wash. Im willing to bet it was minimum wage or at the very least well under 10.10 an hour.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Fast food workers are striking for $15 per hour. $10.10 should have been minimum wage long ago. What rep. Cleaver paid employees at a car wash is immaterial as he would have naturally paid minimum wage which is the standard.

  4. Did you know?

    1. That CEO's do more work in an hour than minimum wage worker does in a week, that they have far more education, experience and drive, and they employee millions of more workers than minimum wage workers do?

    2. Income inequality is a product of inequality of education, experience and work ethic?

    3. Early education has absolutely no impact on future learning, regardless of what "advocates" tell you?

    4. Women are paid the same as men, and have been for a long time, for equal work, and that any disparity is the result of different work schedules and histories that women themselves choose?

    5. That it's not the governments business what an employer pay their employees?

    6. And that minimum wage workers would do better to work harder and climb the ladder to success rather than continue to whine and wallow in the low paying jobs they are barely qualified for now?

  6. yes, welcome to 2014, flipping burgers is now a career, until the robots take over their job in 2016. Robots don't care about stinking minimum wages

  7. The problems with the employment laws is the same thing you have with immigration. We have had laws on the books for decades and the Federal bureaucracy will not get up off their fat asses and do their job by enforcing. We have had solid religion, sex, race and age protection laws on the books. We have overtime laws on the books. We have law after law. For decades there has been civil action upon civil action against employers for age, sex and ethnic discrimination, all brought by workers. We have had hundreds of suits against major corporations for forcing their employees to perform work off the clock. Not one time in 30 years has the Labour Department sued an employer over these issues. Bureaucrats and these Federal Libtards seem to think low wage workers should foot the bill fighting these crooked employers in court instead of taking a few of those thousands of Labour Department employees and enforcing Federal Law. The only new laws we need are ones that require these Federal Agencies to do what they are getting paid to do, but then who is going to step up to the plate and demand an honest days work out of these lazy ass bureaucrats?

  8. You stupid fucking Republican's, Obama is offering you an out with the $10.10. The troops on the ground are demanding $15. Seattle, SF, LA, Chicago, NY, DC, Atlanta, Oregon and other's have or are near passing $14-17 an hour as their minimum.
Look, Obama is the carriage boy for Goldman Sachs. They told him to fetch them $10.10 as a flanking move to circumvent the unions. Simple as that, but no, the short bus Republican's didn't get the memo, again.

  9. 813 super size my order9/13/14, 9:17 AM

813 you cant be that stupid. If Cleaver says no less than 10.10 an hour is a fair wage, then anything he paid under that amount makes him a hypocrite.

    ReplyDelete
  10. $10.10 will be Federal wage. Anybody no of a federal job that doesn't pay 10.10?

  11. 9:11 All great liberal cities you mention.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Well, what we need is a bunch of politicians, who have not performed their constitutional responsibilities in years, telling America what minimum wage needs to be, as we ship another 500,000 jobs overseas.

    ReplyDelete
  13. "Strengthening the Violence Against Women Act"

This is another example of Libtard bureaucracy at work and unneeded laws. In case the Democrats don't get it, assault has been a crime all over this country for over 200 years. The idea that we need special classes of assault for every sex, every sexual preference group, every race is fucking libtard stupidity in action. We already have judges who may sentence. Writing more laws to cover laws we already have is bullshit. What we need are these libtard bureaucrats to get off their lazy asses, out of their air conditioned cushy offices and some enforcement of laws we already have.

  15. I am sure rep. Cleaver paid at least minimum wage. Employers pay minimum wage typically. The whole purpose of minimum wage is to give a standard wage for employees.

Brother Tony it does my heart good to see you showing REVEREND Congressman Cleaver in the positive light he deserves, doing what he do best, fighting for working people of all colors. Do I hear an Amen!?! I thought you be simonizing him lately to get the racists hits on your blog. Being Mexican and a member of the Romaine Catholic Church that we Baptists feel is both hermetic and phosphate to the real teachings of Jesus. I hope on day Mr. Tony you are baptized in the river Jordan and join my church because I knows you would fit in with the Missionary Style Baptist Church. I do appreciate the respect you personally have shown him but I fear the racist honkies will come out of the woodwork to simonize first with to make him guilty by incineration and then followed by oblivious and obsidian remarks. BROTHER MANNY, I STAND WITH YOU AND FOR THE WORKING MAN. Do I get an Amen?!? I do agree with the people who say he should no longer be in Congress. HE SHOULD BE IN THE SENATE replacing Sister Claire when she becomes governer. Do I get an Amen?!?

  18. How bout lowering the costs of living for a change for the average person?

    ReplyDelete
  19. He's pushing for $10 but pandering to the $15 burger flippers and burrito rollers. It's all about trying to get a normally too lazy or stupid to vote group to vote to try to save their asses from the teapublicans. They will become even more disillusioned when the inevitable happens.

  20. What would Cleaver know about any type of "wage" since the nigger has never held a "job" of any kind other than sucking taxpayers out of their money. Damn black grifter.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Congressman, how do you explain why the price of gasoline has doubled since our first Black president has been in office? How is that hope and change?

    ReplyDelete
  22. If it is great it's because it's liberal.

    ReplyDelete
  23. We had cheap gas when the economy was in the tank and we were losing several hundred thousand jobs per month during the Bush administration. Yep. Good times back then...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Name one Bush policy that caused the economy to tank?

  24. Yep we are gaining several thousand jobs a month now. Too bad they pay 25% of the wage the old jobs paid.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hey 1:19, you stupid Libtard, the economy is still in the tank. So much for hope and change.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Gaining several thousand jobs a month is far better than losing several hundred thousand per month even if the pay isn't high enough. Unless you are in the top 1% you are just a useful idiot for the GOP.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I am in the 1% and the liberals in DC have made us all very rich. It's really only the middle class and upper middle class that are complaining. We've just made a system that keeps out the potential competition.

  28. Why do blacks bitch about CEO salaries and not the brothers playing pro football or basketball?

  30. FACT: As of January 2010, the annual salary of each U.S. Representative is $174,000.

Congressman Cleaver also draws a smaller amount from his church.

Mrs. Cleaver draws a substantial salary from her politically connected positions:
1)Chief Executive Officer at Urban Neighborhood Initiative
    2)Consultant at Swope Health Services
    3)President at Symmetry Consulting

So, you see dear reader, Congressman Cleaver purporting to be concerned about the struggles of minimum wage workers, or the topic du jour "violence against women" (hat tip to Ray Rice) is CLASSIC PANDERING!!

I believe it was the Polar Bear's post just days ago, that spoke to the point of some blacks advancing themselves by stepping on the backs of others of their own race. This is what I think Congressman Cleaver figured out years ago as he abandoned the church for politics.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Fuck, Cleaver is just a grifter. He's found himself a cushy little rat hole in congress. It will difficult to pull him out.

  33. Heres a thought, when they are done raising the wage for macdonald (see the ghetto I used there?) workers .. why not go after say ... dog walking jobs! they should get $15 an hour also, when cleaver be there for me when I go after my $15 an hour to walk dogs??

you get paid for the work you do you fucking chimps on a string, go to school and take advantage of the lowered test scores and "diversity" thats only meant for the blacks and get a betting paying job, do you have any fucking idea how many of these people have gotten their on line Masters and PHD's in three years or less and started with a ged?

just walk in to any job where whites have fled the rape, murder, robbery and crime that is associated with KC and say "where is the diversity??" you may have walked in for a job sweeping floors but you'll end up with a key to the exec bathroom when the race baiters are done using the secret word "diversity"

Fuck you and Kansas City you hate mongering fucks

    ReplyDelete
  34. Sounds like a lot of Turk fans who are upset that their candidate keeps losing... What is it now? 4X in a row? Never held another elected role? Besides, nothing wrong with paying people a decent wage.
