I am new here.
ReplyDeleteYou tend to only post negative intel.
Is that me, or am I missing something?
Well, what you're missing on this post is that losing your job at Hallmark is positive - they'll tell you so as they hustle you out the door. It opens you to new opportunities you might not have pursued if you kept your comfortable middle class existence in the middle of our 2nd great depression.
ReplyDeleteNutterville, Northland women pols, skater dudes... all of which could be seen a good things.
ReplyDeleteOh, wait. You're not new here at all are you?
2:31, KCMO is a pretty dismal place; you will likely be sorry you moved there. TKC posts realist content, so yes, much of it is pretty negative.
ReplyDeleteJust sounds bitter. Out.
ReplyDeleteBut you hatters enjoy.
Dear Former Employee:
ReplyDeleteYou worked real hard
And did your time
Never missed a day
For meager pay
But sales are down
The cards aren't moving
We've missed a beat
So hit the street
Our once Gold Crown
Has tarnished brown
Your Former Employer
Ha! Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteAlso the OH BUOY comment drew a laugh.
Pearls before swine I'm afraid.
I'm not what you call a cheap fuck but have you all seen what they think a chuck of paper with some color on it is worth now? I got the little lady a card for Mothers Day was rather fancy no doubt went to pay for it and fuck me was 5 bucks and change. Oh I paid it but was thinking hell no wonder nobody sends cards anymore like they use to. Has Hallmark priced themselves out of business? I know they have some crazy rules about their products have known a few who have worked there overe the years. Sometimes being to anal makes you soon forgotten.
ReplyDeleteSmartman, accurate as usual. And there are other brands for half the price. I like the history of Hallmark and the Halls are good to KC, but everyone is watching their spending nowadays.
ReplyDeleteI agree with :47 and :52 as well like to support local business but damn sometimes it's real hard to do.
