  1. I told you so. It wasn't necessary for the east side to mortgage their future for a magical mystical streetcar to get a Prospect MAX. About time those fools get that up and running.

  2. Austin sure doesn't report with any clarity. We did not turn down the MAX bus we turned down the TDD that would have built Street Cars.

  3. Buy some of the new buses that Seatle and other Light Rail locations are now putting in because it is less costly to buy and run. You can see them on the Smart KC website. They told us therre were alternatives.
Spend a million on new battery operated buses.

  4. If it prevents my taxes from increasing charge the shit out of them.

  5. This doesn't pay for Prospect MAX, dipshits. Read the fucking article.

The East side resounding voted against Max on Prospect. They like their bus just the way it is.

  6. The Eats Side want to stay the on the course its been on for 40 years.

Civil Right heros like Sherry DeJanes and Dan Coffee, people who have worked in the black community for decades know what's best for us.

We don't want all that silly shit like toy trains that was going to be 90% paid for by the Plaza, downtown and the stadiums, but bult mostly on the east side. We want all the thing you get to have when you don't have toy trains. Bryan Stalder has a magical mystery bus that goes everywhere all the time for free, and Mike Bushnell is going to fix the sewers and Dan Coffee says he can even free the slaves BUT YOU CAN NOT DO THOSE THINGS with a public transit system unless its buses. That's just the facts. Look at all those places that they have light rail and streetcars and subways and buses. They are all plagued by problems like people don't move out and abaondon houses, there is a tax base, good and services exist in the neighborhood, they can get to their jobs or go to other parts of town without having to pay for a car plus insurance, plus maintenace and repairs plus taxes to keep up the streets no one uses. Fuck that! We ain't having that silly white people shit up in here!

We gone git sewers and po-lice, and free trash bags as much as we want, and they gone plow the fuck out of the snow and re-open them fire stations they done closed, plus the schools is gone be educating these baby so they aint no lil bad motherfuckers running up on folks no mo'.

Plus Emanuel Cleaver said something was touristy frou frou in the 90s, and instead we got that 18th and vine, so we don't want all that shit they be having in Denver and St Louis and Charlotte and Houston and Dallas and Tuscon and Milwaukee and Cincinnati and Cleveland and Baltimore and DC and Minneapolis and Seattle and Portland and San Diego and Sacramento and all them types of places that's fucked up and stoopid and shit.

uh un, we too SMART fo dat.

  7. The east side voted against the Prospect MAX because it was part of the streetcar TDD. The streetcar folks were throwing a bone to the east side: Be nice, vote for higher sales and property taxes, and we;ll give you a nice new MAX.

You may notice from Mensa boy's posts such as those at 1:54 and 2:05 that the streetcar folks now have no use for the east side at all. I've heard such positive statements as "they deserve the bus service they have." (And you know who "they" are.)

The streetcar fanatics will probably be back with a new vote (most likely after the mayor-council election next year) based on their perception that 55% of the people from downtown to the Plaza will vote for it. Maybe they will, but 5% could become educated and figure out just how much the project will cost.

For the streetcar enthusiasts, voter knowledge is a dangerous thing.
