New Stanford and Sons Opens
Well comedy fans the city has high level comedy once again. Stanford and Sons opened this past weekend at Rosanna Square 119th and Metcalf. Friday was the first night and it was packed. Our dinning room opens this weekend on Friday. Stanford's will do dinner nightly from 5-9 pm and til 10 pm on weekends.
Getting the club ready was a tough ticket. Remodeling is never easy, but we have special needs so doing it in three months was a bitch to say the least. We still have more to add. People loved the club, the shows were tight and funny and our staff was ready to die after all the construction.
Wednesday night, tonight, has a new wrinkle, 'Glazer Unfiltered' my own podcast live on stage from the club at 8 PM. First guests will include our headliner Dov Davidoff and special guest 'Chocolate Becky' of 98.9 fame. Others will be comics and the audience members in attendance. Our city doesn't have a major podcast so we hope in time this one can be just that. It will be different. Hard R and out of the box. So come check it out. The show will be available on Itunes and stanfordscomedyclub.com later in the week and then weekly after each show.
Dov Davidoff headlines all week including after the podcast and is our first guest. Dov has been a hot comic for several years with co starring roles in movies like 'Invincible' w/Mark Whalberg and now 'Almost Broadway' and his life story coming out Six Minutes directed by Renee Zelwigger. Dov also co starred with Jeff Goldblum on TV series 'Raine' as well as a regular on Chelsea and tons of tv like Boston Legal and Law and Order. He is here tonight through Saturday.
Upcoming acts include: Chris Franjola, our own Nikki Glaser, JJ Walker, Chris Kataan, Dave Coulier, Colin Kaner, April Macie, Carlos Mencia, Steve O, Chris Tucker and many more of the top stars. Phase two this fall will add more dinning, waiting area, enclosed patio and late night club. Stanfords is next to Fuel/Kanza Hall and Price Chopper.
