Kansas City B-Movie effort begins anew:
"Visit KC, Kansas City’s convention and visitors association, has hired Stephane Scupham to oversee the KC film and new media office. She starts Oct. 1. Scupham was chosen from more than 150 applicants for the position, which is being paid for with funds from Kansas City municipal government and the tourism association."
Real talk: There's always a great deal of hype behind these efforts but eventually the voting public loses interest and Missouri conservatives score points on the use of public cash for some of the more questionable productions.

Oh, I'm sorry...Kansas City has NONE of that. Never Has. Never Will. And we get ZERO film business. AND if it isn't shot in LA or NYC, it all goes to NOLa & Vancouver. Or Atlanta if it's Tyler Perry joint.
What the fuck is the point? Simple: a bunch of film poseurs, wanna-bes and vampires (think Teri Rogers) pretending we actually have a film community. Even what's left of the dwindling KC Ad community don't shoot in KC...unless there's no budget and they're forced to take it to Take 2/ T2 (whatever).
