Over the years, Mr. Peanut has been able to give his "stable" of politicos pretty much free reign because he only cares about one thing. Those of you with half a brain can figure out what mostly concerns the Kansas City real estate baron . . . Now, if it's not about that "one thing" or something related to the local property game . . . Mr. Peanut couldn't care less. For the most part . . . This fact of life works in favor of Frank White as a legislator.
On The Other Hand, Jackson County Exec Mike Sanders Is A Micro-Manager
The County Exec doesn't just want everybody working from his playbook . . . He gets a bit miffed when a member of his "team" is unwilling to fall on a grenade in order to protect the County honcho. The biggest question that confronts future legislator Frank White when he inevitably takes office: Will he submit to the will of the County Exec??? The answer will make or break his political career.

Remember The Kansas City Royals basically kicked Frank White to the curb and forced the guy out . . . And now he had a very BIG say over their budget. Funny how life works like that sometimes . . . Sure, everybody is playing nice in public but this relationship could either cause future controversy or simply force KC Royals management to finally eat crow regarding their horrible staffing decisions. Other than collect property taxes at a seemingly arbitrary rate . . . Most Jackson County residents are clueless about what goes on down @ The Courthouse. Expect more than a few politicos to inform Frank White that things are better off that way.

Credit where it's due . . . A lot of people don't know about it because Frank White was always very low key about volunteering his time and lending his name to quite a few important community causes over the years. When it comes to community concern for a good cause . . . We know that as a local baseball Hall Of Famer at least, he's always been willing to lend a hand.

Tony was always right, the return on investment for professional sports teams is at best a break even deal. Don't get me wrong, I like watching the Chiefs and Royals, but a lot of folks who don't are paying to subsidize billionaires and millionaires at tax payer expense. They are NOT sacred cows, they are in fact operating on the county's largesse.
Just because I like them and am ok with paying the tax doesn't mean everybody is.

If Frank's mismanagement of his own money is an indication of anything it's that's he's going to keep letting county money be spent on mold infested buildings owned by friends of county staffers, armored tanks, boats, helicopters and other toys Sharp keep buying with money intended for Road and Bridge work.
