TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! KICK-ASS INSIDER SEYZ: NEXT KANSAS CITY STAR EDITORIAL BOARD PREZ COULD BE TOKEN LATINA MARY SANCHEZ!!!

Here's a perspective on the inner-workings of Kansas City dead tree media that we could be seeing on the editorial page.

To wit . . .

KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS SHARE A BIT OF INSIGHT INTO BEHIND THE SCENES CHANGES @ THE KANSAS CITY STAR!!!

Check it:

"Yesterday was the last day at the KC Star for Miriam Pepper, long time editor of the editorial page.

She accepted a buy out and is joining her husband in retirement.

Now the contest to replace her is on.

Yael has told the Publisher he is not interested as has Barbara Shelly.

Steve Paul, who just recently joined the editorial board, is seeking the post.

Lewis Diguid is not capable of handling the job.

Others will surely want such a prestigious job.

Miriam is very politically liberal, but likely her replacement will be more moderate.

Another big question is who will replace the open spot as an editorial writer or will the publisher allow the panel to shrink in size again. If there is a replacement, most bet it will be Mary Sanchez."

  3. There is absolutely nothing prestigious about jobs at the Star. What the hell are they smoking in the glass shithouse? At best she might get a title for her resume when she is out looking for a job in a few months, but head or chief of anything at the Star is nothing to hoot about.

  4. I suspect it's either Mary or Jenee Osterheldt at this point.

  5. The time they finish cleaning house at the Star, it will be spic and span. The Star ought to start publishing in Spanish and then more people might read it but then again, Dirty Mary would have to get an English translation. I like these suburban college educated people with Spanish surnames who speak for the brown people and think they be abajo con los hermanos y las hermanas.

  7. We'd all be better off reading about Lewis Diuguid's prostate.
The Star has become expert in separating the wheat from the chaff...
and then firing the wheat and promoting the chaff.
William Rockhill Nelson must be turning over in his grave.

  8. Train to nowhere, but hey we've got a train8/2/14, 1:09 PM

Streetcar advocates are doing a good job of preying on the well-ingrained insecurities many have of living in a medium-sized midwestern city; a city that provides a good cost of living and some nice amenities but is never somewhere they can brag to their distant friends about living in.

Unfortunately I think there are just enough of these easily manipulated dolts who will vote for the thing without for a second considering the crippling longterm costs.

  10. It will be Lewis to the regret of some of us in the black community.

  11. Promoting Mary Sanchez would be exaggerated proof that the "Peter Principle" is alive and well in KCMO.

The Peter Principle is the principle that in a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to their level of incompetence.

  12. It'll probably be the nigger, if not, that will be racist.

  13. Fire all of them and start fresh. There is a reason the Star isn't selling papers, and people like Barb, Yael, and dirty Mary Sanchez are among the three top reasons.

  14. Sanchez tackles the hot topic of campus rape in today's edition!

Are these people complete libtard simpletons to begin with or did that just come with living in KC for too long?

And I say that as a somewhat liberal person, but it almost seems like they are dong a caricature of the mindless dailykoz liberal.
