TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY MAYOR SLY COULD LOSE THE PRIMARY!!! EAST SIDE LEADERS RUNNING FOR MAYOR CAN NAME THEIR PRICE!!!
The fallout from the most recent Kansas City election is still settling but here's a KICK-ASS TREND that we think could change the local political landscape quite significantly . . .
KANSAS CITY EAST SIDE LEADERS COULD EFFECTIVELY DEFEAT MAYOR SLY IN THE UPCOMING PRIMARY GIVEN THAT TOY TRAIN STREETCAR RETURNS REVEAL HE NO LONGER HAS URBAN CORE SUPPORT!!!
It gets worse . . .
Mayor Sly has lost the Nortland too . . .
Also, constant sparking with Councilman Sharp has cost the Mayor his Southland support as well . . .
Again . . .
KANSAS CITY HIPSTERS AND THE CREATIVE CLASS WILL NOT CARRY THE MAYOR TO ANOTHER VICTORY!!!!
Furthermore . . .
ENTERPRISING EAST SIDE LEADERS WHO WANT A BETTER JOB OR OTHER LUCRATIVE FAVORS COULD EARN A BARGAINING CHIP IF THEY CAN LAUNCH EVEN A HALFWAY SERIOUS BID FOR MAYOR THAT WOULD DRAIN SUPPORT FROM MAYOR SLY!!!
We're talking a decent patronage job . . .
Maybe some sweet free tickets . . .
Possibly a date with Cindy Circo . . .
Last night's vote made it clear . . . Mayor Sly is a Kansas City elected official without a constituency and he's no longer the top politico in town. At this moment, Mayor Sly James is just another weak Kansas City elected official.
Developing . . .
Sly will have a tough time getting elected but it's still his to lose.
ReplyDeleteNice headline but little to back it up. Who ? Who? Who? Sounds like a owl, but WHO ?
ReplyDeleteMaybe Jermaine, Tindall, perhaps Skippy ? Who ?
EVERYONE!
ReplyDeleteDerron Black too!
Slie is a bully and should be replaced. I think we will all be surprised at the number of votes ANY opponent will garner in an election. Does Sharp want it?
ReplyDeleteI don't know. They are dumb enough to re-elect that con-man Cleaver in a landslide.
ReplyDeleteWhat the whole streetcar fiasco showed more clearly than anything is that ideas, honesty, leadership, or any sense of representing residents of the city don't count for much in KCMO.
ReplyDeleteIt's all money, swells, consultants, threats, payoffs, wild claims, egos, and me, me me.
So now the stage has been set for the next mayoral election with all the same crap on steroids.
Major league city?
You have to be joking!
Spending counterfeit incentive
ReplyDeleteWasting precious time and health
Placing value on the worthless
Disregarding priceless wealth
You can wheel and deal the best of them
And steal it from the rest of them
You know the score, their ethics are a bore
Eighty-six anesthetic crutches prop you to the top
Where the smiles are all synthetic
And the ulcers never stop
When they take that final inventory,
Yours will be the same sad story everywhere
No one will really care, no one more lonely than
This rich important man, let's have your autograph
Endorse your epitaph
The average citizen hates all professional politicians. Problem is unless some rich person steps forward there are no alternatives. Even then the rich person is ostracized from his or her peers since they would have to tell the Chamber of Commerce folks to go to hell.
ReplyDeleteLong and short the available pool of talent to run the city is made up of liars and thieves with much large egos than they deserve.
We are doomed.
ReplyDelete1. Court orders schools desegregated;
2. Crime and violence increase in schools;
3. First wave of white flight takes place;
4. White flight results in increased percentage of africans in the schools;
5. Africans gain confidence as numbers increase and begin agitating for special black treatment in schools. Black dances, black student government, black counselors, liaisons, ombudsmen, etc. to deal with "black concerns";
6. Second wave of white flight takes place;
7. Sell-off from white property owners to africans takes place as property values start to plunge;
8. Violence increases in the schools and neighborhoods as africans become the majority;
9. As the violence escalates, africans blame white racism among police and local government and demand black officers and a black Police Chief who "understands" the black community.
10. The city appoints an african Police Chief in hopes that the violence will begin to subside as a result.*
11. Violence explodes under the incompetence of the black Police Chief who invariably looks the other way and dabbles in trendy, expensive programs that avoid dealing with the actual black violence problem;
12. The final wave of white flight takes place. After this, the only whites who remain are the Grand Torino-like, stubborn old people;
13. African political control is cemented and an african mayor is elected;
14. The city descends into chaos under a majority black city government and spirals into filth, poverty, disease, crime and bankruptcy.
15. Whites without children gentrify 5% of the city, normally a historic district that attracts artists, gays and grads. NY Times writes an article about how the city is experiencing a comeback without stating the obvious which is that it is only in the white-invested area.
We're not doomed but thanks for the copy and paste. Your own individual opinons are welcome.
Deletesuch as: you're retarded!
I so hope someone decent steps up to the plate and runs for mayor. We need to replace him and Circo ASAP.
ReplyDeleteMark Bryant or Frank White
ReplyDeleteYour tipsters told us the Northland would deliver the mayorship to Mike Burke.
ReplyDeleteAre they the same tipsters?
Because you probably shouldn't listen to them
Brooks will go balls out again with the $15000 the city spotted him.
ReplyDeleteWhat people don't understand is that those in the political arena understand nothing but government. None have ever worked in a competitive industry other than law. Add to that most are not overly bright (with the exception of mensa boy). Then their ethics would make a third world dictator blush. Now you have what passes for leadership in KCMO.
ReplyDeleteIs this the onion
ReplyDeleteWe need someone from the outside
ReplyDeleteThis is the best joke I've heard all day and The onion is more factual than TKC
ReplyDeleteno the onion is more factual
ReplyDeleteJohn Sharp would give him a hell of a run for his money. Sly has so many enemies in labor, the community and politics now, that Sharp would have a chance.
ReplyDeleteSharp is DULL
ReplyDeleteIt's lonely at the top.
ReplyDelete@8:30am
ReplyDelete"None have ever worked in a competitive industry other than law."
Law is not competitive; only the cases are. Typically, a lawyer will find some way to settle so that they don't have to do any work. Lawyers are the laziest sons of bitches on the earth. No lawyer has ever proven me wrong.
Are you saying that Mayor SLie's ambition for a second term has been "RAILROADED"?
ReplyDeleteHe's been caught napping on the tracks, and is in danger of being flattened?
His tax and spend policies are like a runaway locomotive without an engineer?
He's now a caboose without an engine to lead him?
He's on the path to defeat and his ticket has been punched? No returns, no refunds!
Points for history lesson.
ReplyDeleteBonus points for Gran Torino reference.
Will somebody unbundle the words "Eastside Leaders"? Who are they?
ReplyDeleteJames Tindell, Clinton Adams, Kenneth Bacchus, Gwen Grant, Kikki Curls, Terry Riley
Delete7:41 AM
ReplyDeletePlease note that the automobile/film you reference is correctly spelled "Gran Torino", not "Grand Torino" - although a Gran Torino with a screaming 428 Cobra Jet is pretty GRAND.
Thank you,
Henry Ford II, Still dead and buried.
8:30am Most politicians are not bright. Hence, James Tindall posing as an elected official for nearly 20 years with a felony record. All of the other politicians who could have solved this problem 20 years ago just didn't; and they had an obligation to and didn't know it. They don't even know how government should work. Holding an election for a billion dollar 2-mile train after the ink is already dry on the contract... believing voters would support it when they were completely ignored from the outset. I mean, there's no support for this Mayor and City Council. These folks are absolute morons. You give them way too much credit in the intellect department, including MENSA boy whose IQ has crashed and burned.
ReplyDeleteWhy wait until the next election? Recall the worthless mayor and sociopath Russ Johnson.
ReplyDelete9:24 I only meant that almost all politicians other than attorneys have spent their entire careers working for government, non profits or some private company that works for government. And as to attorneys most do not understand business or economics since they think all they need do is open a file and start the meter, then send a bill. But the best attorneys seldom go into politics anyway, its usually those who are unsuccessful as an attorney.
ReplyDeleteWhen was the last time there was a city councilperson that was an executive or owned a successful business. Nail salons don't count. And being the bag person for a large engineering firm doesn't either.
Freedom Inc was defeated now rises again We need Pendgrast again
ReplyDeletenigger boy gonna be gone soon.
ReplyDeleteActually, the people that KCMO voters elect time after time don't know much of anything about government and don't have much interest in learning.
ReplyDeleteCity govrnments work to provide residents with safe neighborhoods, good streets and sidewalks, common sense business regulations, storm water systems, a well-managed water department, and all the other things that most of us depend on every day.
In KCMO, the electeds spend their time subsidzing anyone with a pulse who promises to build something, giving money away without any discernible criteria or accountability for results, and racing around pandering to every little group promising them they'll "get their fair share".
They're not municipal elected officials; they're members of a D-list celebrity wannabee political class whose priorities are running for something else and looking out for themselves and their friends.
KCMO government has been a joke for a very long time which is why the ther olocal governments in the region want nothing to do with them.
So the big serious regional issues like transportation and growing the economy aren't even being addressed.
Others just look at something like the streetcar fiasco and shake their heads and laugh.
World class.
Here we are again talking about control over the Black populace.
ReplyDeleteNo sincere offers to help; only control and further harm. Black people cannot be this stupid, slothful and ill-concerned with their own well-being that it is now possible to contemplate, create hostility or controversy over controlling the Black populace.
The folks at the head of the line in these attempts are other Black faces. Will Black people ever see themselves as individuals? This is getting old.
I have never heard that Mayor James is a bully, but I have been told that he is inconsistent--sometimes jokey and jovial, sometimes very cranky and abrupt. And that this change can happen quickly. I do get the impression that he likes to get his way....I guess everyone does to some extent....
ReplyDeleteThe problem is, Mayor Sly James is a full Fledged Ego Tripping " Narcissist", His head is swelled, just like his Boy !!
ReplyDeleteFormer Ambulance chasing attorney for ya !!!
Sly James, is so full of himself its pathetic, and he's clueless and so are the Minions that follow him !
Sly James thinks he's OBAMA, and tries to act like Obummer, tell lies, Fabricate Facts, lie some more, fool the people, etc.
Look for KCMO / Jackson County to become like the middle east before long, War Torn Iraq, Syria, etc.
What happens when you elect one of these"Narcissists" on Ego trips to a head position like Mayor, look at that Jackson County Proscuter Jean Peters who turns out 3 time convicted murderers back out on the streets with probation to prey on Kansas Citians again & again !
I remember what Washington DC was like in the 1980's under that Corrupt Marion Berry and his minions, Violence was so badd, almost had to call out the National Guard.
Now look at Chicago, and Detroit today, same thing, all run by Black moron Democratic Liberals, who are clueless idiots !!!
Remember people , you reap what you sew, and this is NOT the type of Change we were looking for, and its NOT the type of change they they promised us when they ran for office NOT the platform they ran on when running for election !!
Remember that - come next election, Vote this Degenerate Clown out of office of Mayor ! Goood Ridence !!!
Funk wins. Sly is worse Funk.
ReplyDeleteFo'get the date Cindy
ReplyDeleteBut you can do my bitchs' nails.
I feel soooooooo much safer since he instituted no open carry in KC. Let's all stroll down Prospect about dusk tonight and see how things are working out.
ReplyDeleteStroll down prospect in a fully equipped platoon and it would still be risky.
ReplyDelete+1, 10:53 am. Oh and when you wrote "electeds" I read "electards". Silly brain.
ReplyDeleteTony,
ReplyDeleteIs it really necessary to plaster Slyme's face all over your blog? Good god man, we all know what the ugly POS looks like, why do we have to see it over and over and over and over and over and over ....................
It does seem that we need to take some city officials out, one way or the other. Are ALL of em crooks, or what?
ReplyDeleteSlie needs to go. Anyone thinking about Gail McCann-Beatty?
ReplyDeleteTwo words: Dan Tarwater. Two more words: Future indictment.
ReplyDeleteS'liar James is just a moody woman. Sad but true.
ReplyDeleteI think the Mayor will survive this. He has some very smart people on his staff (McGurk, Wickham, Giles, Rowe)--I predict that they will pull together and prevail. He will be back--believe that!
ReplyDeleteHe'll survive it, but he was seriously wounded. The sharks are already starting to circle. Welcome to politics.
ReplyDeleteIf he's going to survive, he's going to have to put some distance between himself and the streetcar and Mensa boy.
ReplyDelete5:09- The reason Tony posts so many different pictures of Mayor Slyme's face is that a guy has to change out his dartboard photo every now and again and a new photo creates new targeting opportunities.
ReplyDeleteHow is the mayor's weight loss regimen going?
ReplyDeleteMayor James is the best mayor we have had since Mark Funkhouser.
ReplyDelete
