Once again it seems that top Missouri politicos mishandled an important response to the highly disputed shooting death of African-American teen Michael Brown.
To wit . . .
KICK-ASS MISSOURI INSIDERS REVEAL BEHIND THE SCENES DEETS OF ANOTHER CONTROVERSY AFTER GOV. NIXON AND ATTORNEY GENERAL CHRIS KOSTER SKIP THE MICHAEL BROWN FUNERAL!!!
It was their loss really . . . Turns out they missed an important service where a great deal of critical discourse was espoused.

Al Sharpton at Michael Brown funeral: 'Something is wrong in America'
Across the aisle, it's important to note that Missouri Lieutenant Governor Pete Kinder attended the event and it's worth nothing that the Gov. Lite has pretty good relations with Missouri's African-American community despite his GOP affiliation. After yesterday's event, it's clear that Lt. Gov. Kinder kinda surpassed Gov. Jay in his connection to this community.
Of course Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill was front and center in the audience and was also well received by the congregation.
This kind of political event has always been one of her strengths and her move to crackdown on local police militarization will earn her even more support from this community.
Now . . .
MISSOURI INSIDERS ARE MIFFED THAT AG KOSTER COULDN'T MAKE TIME TO ATTEND THE MICHAEL BROWN FUNERAL AND DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO PROVIDE AN EXCUSE!!!
Maybe he didn't want to sit next to Sen. Claire .. . Since they're clearly in competition for the Gov. Job . . . And word is the seating schedule had them FAR, FAR APART but his absence was noticeable and CERTAINLY A PERCEIVED SLIGHT in the midst of a gathering that hoped and prayed for justice.
Now . . .
MISSOURI POLITICOS REFUSE TO ACCEPT GOV. JAY'S EXCUSE FOR SKIPPING THE MICHAEL BROWN FUNERAL AND SOME SAY HE WAS ASKED TO STAY AWAY!!!
In fairness, Gov. Jay released a statement declaring that he would "not be attending today’s funeral out of respect for the family.” He said that Brown’s family “deserves time to focus on remembering Michael and grieving their loss.”
But Missouri insiders don't have much confidence in his statement . . .
"He should have pushed to be there . . . It just doesn't make any sense. Half the the game is just showing up and it's clear Gov. Nixon still hasn't learned the lessons of Ferguson."
Again, it's not like it wouldn't have been worth the car ride . . . There was talk of a cavalcade of celebrities making the event, P. Diddy was reportedly attending the funeral, which means it certainly was an A-List Party . . .
Spike Lee was seen in the crowd . . .

GOV. JAY AND AG KOSTER DROPPED THE BALL AGAIN AT THE FUNERAL WHICH DOESN'T BODE WILL FOR AN UPCOMING TRIAL AND SO-CALLED "VIGOROUS PROSECUTION" THAT HAS BEEN PROMISED!!!
Whatever the case, top Democratic Party white dudes once again revealed that they didn't learn anything from Ferguson and KICK-ASS MISSOURI INSIDERS are calling them out on in FIRST on TKC. Natch.

For our Governor and our AG to attend the funeral of a criminal would just be wrong. It would have been just as wrong had these same people attended the funeral of the white firefighter killed after committing a crime.

Are you saying that Nixon and Koster should have attended for strategic "political purposes" or are you implying that the Governor and Attorney General somehow had an obligation to attend the funeral of a criminal?
I can understand from a crass, opportunistic, politically-motivated point of view why the likes of Sen. McCaskill, Lt. Gov. Kinder, Obama Administration representatives, etc., were in attendance..........but, is this what we want from our elected representatives? Isn't this just yet another example of our corrupt, broken, and dysfunctional political system?

Of course, he omitted the fact that he NEVER served in the military (to busy with drugs and gay sex), has been longtime friends with anti-military radicals like Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn, and was a longtime member of Reverend Wrights Chicago church where he commonly heard anti-America rhetoric (God-damn America!).
