GOV. JAY FUMBLES RESPONSE TO FERGUSON, MISSOURI CONFLICT AND REVEALS HE'S STILL NOT READY TO TAKE THE NATIONAL STAGE
More than any other politico, the conflict in Ferguson, Missouri has devastated the career of Gov. Jay. A late response and so much equivocating on the controversy has made him seem week and aimless.
Put simply, Gov. Jay is unable to pick a side and therefore he's not making anybody happy with his milquetoast approach to this raging debate.
Now more than ever we see that the Gov. isn't Presidential material and probably would have a hard time trying to sneak into the Senate.

PROPOSED CRACKDOWNS ON POLICE PUT LAW ENFORCEMENT ON THE LOSING SIDE OF FERGUSON, MISSOURI UNREST
Even Conservative media (i.e. The Blaze) is cracking down on "militarized" police and real legislative progress on body cameras might soon turn law enforcement into glorified mall cops which may or may not make anybody feel safer. You decide . . .
CONVENIENCE STORES ARE NOTHING MORE THAN COLLATERAL DAMAGE
Nobody feels sorry for small biz dudes selling slushies and candy in order to scrape by . . . Also, it's open season on the bigger chain stores too. This might have implications for the broader merchant class in Kansas City and throughout the nation or it could be just a sign of the times revealing that it's still hard to make a buck in the urban core.
DEAD TREE MEDIA HAS BEEN RENDERED IRRELEVANT IN THIS BREAKING NEWS DEBATE
In both analysis and coverage of the current hot mess . . . The public simply isn't relying on Dead Tree Media as a form of communication.
TV, Internets and Twitter are serving as the breaking news source of choice while blogs and social media have been the main outlets for discussion of the event. Meanwhile, Dead Tree Media pundits seem hopelessly out of the loop and burdened by politically correct opinion that simply doesn't resonate amid the current digital discourse.
THE SUBURBS STAY LOSING AND NOW PROVE TO BE A STAGING GROUND FOR VIOLENT SOCIAL UNREST
In Kansas City, denizens of Grandview, Raytown and Lee's Summit realize that demographics and income disparity are becoming premiere issues in suburbia. On the Kansas side, Olathe and even some parts of Overland Park can also attest to shifting population trends that have given way a more economically and racially diverse suburban community. From immigrants to émigrés of the urban core . . . Suburbia is no longer a "middle-class" utopia but nothing more (or less) than home to the same social challenges that face any other metropolis in the nation.
So, those are these are the folks taking heat as we see it . . . Feel free to offer your own perspective as this conflict rages on . . .
