THE KANSAS CITY SUNDAY INVOCATION!!!

In order to represent the full spectrum of Kansas City opinion, this message shared with our blog community seems appropriate . . .

A friend of the blog seyz: "I sent a copy of this email to every cop I know on the KCPD."

Check it:

"Dear Chief Forte:

"I went to Mass earlier, and while there I prayed hard for all of you in the KCPD as you go about your duties in this trying time in the history of our country. Take care and God bless.

"Sincerely, Respectfully and In Christ, Ernest Evans"

To My TKC Blog Friend "Ernest Evans",

Honestly sir, I don't know if you actually exist or are an imaginary character created for online postings.....regardless, you oftentimes make me laugh with your shared musings!

This time, I note that you seem to be seeking a pat on the back for being a "good Catholic." You specifically mentioned that you went to "Mass" and "prayed hard" for the KCPD in "this trying time in the history of our country."

Question: What determines your level of prayer intensity? I mean what warrants a soft, medium, or hard prayer? Seriously!

Question: What were you referencing with "this trying time in the history of our country"? Ferguson? Iraq? Sly's Rock the Block? It must be something local, here in KCMO, otherwise Chief Forte and the KCPD are operating under normal conditions.

Finally, I note that your closing salutation-- "Sincerely, Respectfully and In Christ, Ernest Evans" has adopted an informality tonight by dropping the title "Dr." from your name. I do hope this was merely your attempt to be more relaxed and not some unfortunate professional setback regarding your academic credentials!

I do enjoy your postings and tonight award you super bonus points for not mentioning "community policing", "Sofia Salva", "NYC", etc. Thank you!

  12. Talking faith to Tony's Klan makes little sense.

How will squinting your eyes & talking to yourself help?

We have nearly drowned in this mystical nonsense. We need more reality, less religion.

  14. Well said, Dr. Evans. For you ignorant idiots, he is a professor at UMKC. Yes, he really exists.

  15. The atheists posting here just reveal themselves to be haters.

Typical ridicule from the Kansas City Atheist Coalition crowd...a really unhappy and somewhat pathetic group of people.
