NEW KANSAS CITY RUCKUS RIGHT NOW!!!

Take a look at Kansas City's gold standard opinion show returning to the airwaves with a new set and new members of the important community forum.

WATCH THE LATEST AND GREATEST EPISODE OF RUCKUS JUST POSTED ONLINE!!!

Good stuff all around but this show really belongs to Gwen Grant this week given that her criticsm of Gov. Jay amid the Ferguson, Missouri hot mess has reached the national media.

Take a look:

Other than the Ferguson disaster . . . Topics include a newsmaker interview segment, the American Royal and Kemper arena inevitability along with Sprint telcom journey to destruction.

What do you think of the new Ruckus format??? Personally, here @ TKC we like what we see so far and think the social media inclusion is a stroke of genius.

Comments

  1. Why hasn't Sprint improved? Because they drop nearly every call!

  2. It sinks!!!!!!!

  3. Yael doesn't seem pleased. Less importance for The Star here.

    ReplyDelete
  4. The "anti" speaker is pretty awful.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Why won't Ron Freeman let anybody talk? Guy won't wait his turn and he's stepping over all over everybody else. Obviously amateur night at ruckus. They need to cancel this show and put it out of its misery.

    ReplyDelete
  6. John Murphy illustrates how friggin depressing someone is when they simply oppose everything the other guy does.

I would imagine he would be a rock start on this blog.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Murphy is alright but his segment seems like a paid one. Is that how the show is making their money. I always thought they let the star dominate because of their paid KCPT sponsorship. Maybe I should be more generous with my donations so I can get a spot too?

  8. No lie, I took Public Speaking and Murphy is bad.

Saying nothing about positions, just his presentation.

  9. A Review: The New Ruckus

Our fearless intrepid host Mike Shanin is back, and ready to crack the "quips"!!

And if the inaugural show is to set the standard, Mr. Shanin needs to crack the whip as well! Way too much talking out-of-turn, and attempting to talk over another panelist....are you listening Gwen?

Likes: The new opening to the program, the new graphics, potentially the new headliner segment although I have reservations, the new panelists.

Dislikes: If you're going to make the headliner segment a regular feature, then the program needs to be expanded to an hour. Why did you keep all four original panelists, when all but Woody could be jettisoned? Also, you should assign the panelists random seating, instead of their old stale spots around the table.

Yael Abouhalkah pleasantly surprised me with good points and a calm demeanor. So far, I like the new improved Yael (and I'm surprised myself). Gwen Grant deserves the boot! Totally predictable liberal stereotype, and rudely interrupting others with her histrionics. Aimee Patton was subdued and I'll withhold judgment until I hear her again. Ron Freeman, now this guy is GREAT, and I agreed with nearly everything he said, only loses a point for the rookie mistake of talking out-of-turn.

    Here are the final grades:
    Ron Freeman = A-
    Yael Abouhalkah = (A-/B+) borderline
    Aimee Patton = C
    Gwen Grant = F
    Mike Shanin = A+..."forgetabouit"

Don't hold the Latino back any longer!!! We want Tony!!!!

  10. Did they discuss the topic of unsolicited bulk e-mail?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Worth the price of admission just to see Gwen Grant's phony, practiced indignation at Ron Freeman. She rehearses that shit in a mirror, even touched her new wig as she looked away from the offender.

The Streetcar is appropriatly savaged sans the needed commentary from our hero Tony Botello.

    Gimme a fuckin break.

The powers that be want Tony on so fucking bad they can taste it, but are so fucking scared of the opprobrium from traditional news media they are paralyzed.

Tony will own this show in 6 months if they give him some face time. The ratings would jump through the previously staid and solid roof, making a hole for us all by proxy that lets the sun in to shine on the cockroaches who run our lives on a local basis.

    What fun.

    Never eat at McDonalds.

  12. Gwen grant is a racist get her off. Missed Mary Ron freeman was ok, Yael knows most of what's going on this city from his job at the star..,,,

    ReplyDelete
  13. This show presents little or not value to Kansas City right now. They tried to include too much "diversity" and focused on meeting quotas instead of looking for quality people with good information. A real shame, they could have done better.

    ReplyDelete
  14. WTF did the Bear miss. Bear was taking his weekly bowel cleanse and had to send Jr to QT for some wipes.

Bet taking a shit was far better than watching Gwen Grant.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Chuck lay the crack pipe down immediately. Tony on Rukus ? LOL. He would fold like wet toilet paper at Missie B's.

    ReplyDelete
  16. A producer told me they had "credibility issues" with Mr. Botello's appearance.

    So it would seem unlikely.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Credibility, it's George Soros run public television. The whole thing is a bad joke.

Seek the truth and watch out for commercials even when you don't see them.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I look forward to TKC on the show, I like the new format. Admit that this is the most people have talked about the show in years.

I support justice and a wait and see approach. Let the courts do their job.

  20. Glad to see Mary gone. She talked too much and she and Gwen were redundant. We all know that you can't fire the black woman, so Mary had to go.
Otherwise, I think we need to hold our judgement for a week or two and let these guys get used to each other.

    ReplyDelete
  21. OMG, yes we could have Tony lecture us all on his understanding of the freedom of speech.

Frankly, I would rather have barbed wire pulled through my rectum.

    ReplyDelete
  22. 1:33

We already get that every day on MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and every major News Paper in the US.

    ReplyDelete
  23. try party beads from your rectum

    ReplyDelete
  24. Bet "free speech" goes by the wayside as TKC become "socially acceptable".

Tony is a glutton for air time. Anybody that will tag on "Super Crime Fighter Negros cape" will stoop to new low's for "face time" on RUKUS.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Get on a legit news source like Drudge or Hanity so you'll pick up the geriatric crowd Tony?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Like the news show. Better to mix it up and the twitter roasts and toasts are much better.

    ReplyDelete
  27. tkc used to get invited to journalism panels --hosted by the likes of nick haines --around town, along with the likes of dave helling and that bottom (line) feeder john something. But after a while it became apparent 1.) tkc's not really intelligent and when stuck out in public it shows: he simply repeats social media lines as though they were the truth; 2.) he doesn't have enough self-respect to dress for the public, e.g. something other than rank sweatshirts and grubby pants, so he doesn't present well at all; 3.) additionally his demeanor (at the events I attended) was that of a stoned butthead ( or maybe it was beavis) who was dismissive of the thoughts around him.

why the fuck would someone put him on a show purported to be thoughtful and engaging?

    ReplyDelete
  28. 8:39: Except for the dressing up part couldn't the same be said of Mary O'?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Don't think Mary is ever stoned at these gigs. Too self righteous for that.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I was very interested in watching the revamped show UNTIL, it was revealed that they added yet another nigger. Wasn't Grant enough??

    ReplyDelete
  31. Somebody gave Gwen Grant a microphone and a sense of importance and this is a prime example of what happens in so-called leaders of the African American community. She had nothing positive to say and her position was all about me, me, me and see me - "I was quoted by the New York Times". If this is her biggest accomplishment, therein lies the problem. Remove her from the show.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Gwendolyn Grant has a bunch o' summonses to appear in Municipal Court for property violations on KCPS Building Corporation property. That busted up school at 19th & Summit. Nice!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Actually, I've seen Tony appear as a speaker at an event and he did quite well. 8:39, are you Dave Helling?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Think Ron Freeman is a great addition. Would someone please show Gwen Grant the door?

    ReplyDelete
  35. I have seen Tony present too, he is uncomfortable and not good. He is like a radio person who is confident behind a mic, but not onstage. Also people who are as wide as they are tall are not suited for television. I swear the man has a 50 inch waist.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That didn't stop Jeff Roe from going on and making Mary look petite.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Glad Aimee was on there. Based on comments made on her blog, I thought she had a large rack, kind of Dana Wright type boobs. Anyway, hope to see more of her.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Gwen seemed to be drunk. I've never seen her so loud and abrasive on Ruckus before. She seemed to want to take Mary's place--interrupting, speaking over everyone else, etc. Mike needs to get control.

Alas, it seems Mary will be back next week. There goes the show.
