MUST READ: TKC Reader Slams Kansas City Nextdoor Neighborhood Social Media Project

On Facebook Kansas City residents are constantly organizing in order to share information and snoop on their neighbors - These groups are usually fraught with infighting and they stop becoming useful about six months into their life-cycle . . . Accordingly, Kansas City local politicos have put themselves out on a limb backing the Nextdoor social media website and app that mostly serves to clog e-mail in-boxes with a great deal of KCMO minutia that fails to excite a modicum of interest and not nearly as much as our ongoing penchant for Lucy Collett.

Accordingly, check this EPIC TKC Reader review:

"So TKC, This Is Neighborhood Organizing? You should read the thread regarding dog shit. Really, wasting time re: dog shit.!

"I opted out this afternoon. My inbox has enough bullshit in it. No room for online gripping from unknown neighbors.
Well, I am out the door to walk my dog. He craps a lot!"

Sadly, that sounds about right and just another indication the Global Prairie and so many other City Hall Internets friends and followers don't really know what the public wants online. Hint: Pussy cat photos.

  2. Is it really too much to ask people who walk their dogs to pick up after them?

I suppose so. I live in a neighborhood where it is not unusual for people who have bought their breakfasts at fast food places or QT to simply throw their leftovers and containers out of their car windows.

It appears many people think the world is their maid service.

  3. Good God Tony, you have the n-word bore and the other bore, Nextdoor users, up early this morning. There is no safe place. Grrrrr! Next we will have the bores in the Mayor bunker chiming in on the archaic social media site.

  4. Nextdoor is an advertising vehicle. Glad those bitchers will be dealing with an onslaught of unsolicited bulk mail.

  8. As with all things, if you don't want it simply opt out.

Tony is running out of tipster Intel because of the new hateful tone of this site. Resulting in stupid inserts. AKA, this one.

  10. Streetcar supporters are now very active on this site under the guise of defenders against hate speech.

    How very, sadly predictable.

  11. Streetcar defenders clog all social media. Win through drumming us into submission.
