KC Biz Journal reports a Kansas City Chiefs Youth Movement some place less important than their backfield: "A Missouri Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs in an age discrimination lawsuit brought by a former employee.
"Former maintenance manager Steven Cox brought the suit, claiming that he was fired to make room for younger employees. The Chiefs said Cox was fired after his performance declined and after he gave a janitor a $5,000 pay raise without permission. He was 61 at the time, and his position later was filled by a 37-year-old.
"Cox claimed that the trial court unnecessarily excluded certain evidence and allowed lawyers for the Chiefs to make inflammatory closing arguments accusing his lawyers of greed and dishonesty."

The case was clearly swung by the $$$$ of the defendant.
ReplyDeleteThe Chiefs organization is guilty of age discrimination but their money bought them the results they wanted.
There is no justice against big money corporations.
They fired everyone over 40 that year.
