Kansas City Artsy Rocket Grants

Check this nice little Kansas City artsy celebration to start our Sunday . . .

We're posting this because it's a nice look at how the "creative class" in Kansas City roll . . .

Description . . .

"The Rocket Grants program was launched in 2009 by the Charlotte Street Foundation in Kansas City, MO and the KU Spencer Museum of Art in Lawrence, KS, with funding from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The program aims to fuel the energy of the Kansas City regional visual arts community by encouraging and supporting innovative, public-oriented work in non-traditional spaces.

"The 2014 Rocket Grant Awards Ceremony was held at the Kansas City Museum on Thursday, June 5, which included a reception in Corinthian Hall. Recipients presented their projects to the public in the Museum's Carriage House."

And, like it or not . . . At some point these people are getting NDTF money from our precious E-tax.

More in a bit . . .
