Dead Tree Media Earns KCUR Second Chance

Take a look at Kansas City Dead Tree Media newsies given another opportunity to practice their craft with super public radio power.

Check Out Some Of Our Fave Old School Journalists Now Working @ KCUR 89.3 FM

The Deets:

"We told you our newsroom was getting bigger ... Allow us to introduce you to some of our newest faces!

"From left, Dan Margolies is editor of our new health hub, CJ Janovy joins our arts team as reporter and Sam Zeff, reporter, is leading our education coverage.

Welcome to the team! Reach out to them, say hello and share story ideas at danm@kcur.org, cj@kcur.org and sam@kcur.org. — with Dan Margolies and CJ Janovy."

Now, Dan and TKC argued about ethics a while back (LOL!!!) AND CJ has been known to talk trash about this blog and then write butch notes to/about us behind the scenes . . . Still, we appreciate their persistence and willingness to to serve the public trust (again, LOL) backed by mostly undisclosed donations.

Developing . . .

too bad these retreads are clogging up spots at the radio station. Normally public radio would be a place where a young person could get a first job in radio.

But we do have to reward them for their work in the newspaper industry from 1990-2000

It is really too bad that CJ plays for the wrong side. She is fuckable.

A bunch of 1960's hippie libtards still trying to have their way and calling it journalism.

Dont be mean to CJ, she is one of the good folks...she is inherently decent and doesn't hurt anybody...and she isn't full of herself...c'mon man!

that's a feather light and ticklish analysis. Obviously you only know CJ during happy hour. She can actually be quite mean when she is provoked. I guess TKC doesn't mind provoking her.

Tony makes a good point, who's paying the bills for this outfit? Who gets to pull their strings and set their agenda?

Don't tell me they wouldn't be susceptible. All of them have already lost at least one plum gig (if not more) and this is desperation time before they all go on welfare.

This is not a commercial station. Someone is picking up the tab and it's not grandma paying $12 a month so she can get a CD.

Someone is forking over major bucks for both this bunch and KCPT's new projects and so far they've stonewalled all requests to tell us who that is.

You only think she is mean because she is a woman...if she were a dude you'd say she was a badass. Is she acerbic sometimes? Sure...but she isn't a bad person.
