The official line is that Kansas City homicides "now conform with federal standards" but there really has been some over all progress with a lower homicide rate that probably not a statistical anomaly based on the record cold weather this year . . . Politicos claim that other cities with the same cold weather haven't experienced the same drop in crime, then again other cities have better snow removal. Bragging about lower crime and / or homicide stats has always been the kiss of death.......literally.
