ReplyDeleteI call BS on the name change. There is a reason for it other than waking one morning and thinking after 17 years we are going to be more KC sounding. There are some legal papers somewhere that caused this to happen.

I lived by this place for many years. I never got it. I also don't get why some idiot opened a taco stand across the street. This neighborhood in no way was ever interesting to white people unless they are ghetto-fied like me. I am not allergic to any color of people, so I did okay living down here and starting my company in the tip of KCK area.
I liked it better when it was a liquor store ran by some people who had a son going to college in florida.
I have never seen more rude grown men acting like brats in this place. It is as if the line makes them stupid. I do not like eating there with co-workers because I don't feel the same about them after I see them behave in such a manner. Children behave better than men in this place. It is hard to respect someone when they act a fool because they are hungry. I also will admit that when it comes to promtion decisions, I don't move people up that act like morons in lines at bbq. I mean who cares, there is a line and a crowd. I don't understand why men over 40 lose their stuff over a line at an eatery. It is shameful and embarrassing behavior. I suppose when hiring people I should take them there to see how they behave, I need a predictor of future behavior. I can't have any whiney bully balding chubby boys running around this place. I can't tell these people to man up and cut the crap, I just have to grit my teeth. I thought growing my business would be good, I just didn't think I would love my family and how they behave more than the morons at my work. My family and all of their sullen complaining is easier to deal with than my employees. For the first time in my life I like to come home because I am away from the wild natives at my office. I keep gritting my teeth and just keep going along. I wish I had better skills so I don't let people bother me. Its funny because I like customers way more than my employees. I haven't started thinking dark thoughts yet, but there are times when I wonder. The office manager is big on meetings and I can't stand meetings. They make me sleepy and even though it is my company I don't see the point. When they start doing this teamwork rah rah stuff I imagine myself getting in my car and driving far far away.
Well lucky for me I just got an email; they want to go to lunch at the new and improved oklahoma joes. I didn't bring food, so I'm going to say I have tummy troubles, which probably I do have a bleeding ulcer from dealing with these people. I know in life it is important to be kind. I just struggle. I also want taco bell.

I fully agree that the OK Joe line is chock full of hardcharging chubby balding boys... waiting in half-block lines for BBQ because it is the thing to do.
The idiotic herd rube mentality of this town is never more fully on display that weekdays at lunch hour, watching these fat fucks in action.
Then you see these savages in polo shirts rush to eat, wildly gesticulating, belching and chomping like buffoons... and you just wonder when exactly the dignity left this country.
