Local Democracy job listing: The Kansas City Elections Board (KCEB) is seeking up to four individuals ---two Democrats, two Republicans ---with experience and knowledge to supervise staff responsible for coordinating various aspects of elections administration, voter registration, poll worker training, data entry procedures, voter outreach and communications.

There is no constitutional provision for what pols like to call a "two-party system." None whatsoever. We have a tradition of two dominant parties, but that does not make it a "system."
Democrats and Republicans have no more rights to anything than anyone else. If that's not the case, then this is just another example of an American city being run like some Third World shit hole in Asia, Latin America or Africa.

This is a great opportunity for some smart independent or member of a minor party to file suit against the Kansas City Elections Board. I would do it myself if I lived in Killer City. Hey, CK folks who aren't Dems or GOPs: Your government's incompetence means that you have an opportunity to collect BIG BUCKS, courtesy of the other taxpayers. Sue 'em! They will settle and you will make a ton of money.
