TKC TIPSTERS TOLD YOU FIRST!!! CONSTANT KANSAS CITY 5TH DISTRICT CANDIDATE JACOB TURK RESIDENCY QUESTIONED!!!

Last night Kansas City TV watchers learned about residency questions confronting CONSTANT congressional candidate Jacob Turk.

NBC Action News: "Several contenders running for a chance at Rep. Emanuel Cleaver's congressional seat, but two are instead in a bitter battle over where the other one lives."

Luckily, here on TKC our blog community discussed the matter in early July.

Not many people were going to vote for the guy anyhoo but the quest to challenge Congressman Cleaver proves interesting . . .

Here's what a local insider seyz on the topic:

"Turk is unwilling to fully commit to the 5th District, and is banking on an apathetic voting public not realizing that he's now an outsider. Turk continues to falsely blame Representative Cleaver for gerrymandering him out of the district, when district boundaries were actually re-drawn by a Republican dominated Missouri legislature. Look it up. So, Turk is either lying, or he needs to prove his claims.

Regardless, even if Turk won the primary based on name recognition built up over nearly 10 years of campaigning, he can not win in November. The Cleaver campaign will bury him with the residency issue. Turk took a gamble, and lost. He gambled that playing the victim card would work, and that his non-residency would not be an issue in this election, but it is. It's better to get it out now than keep it quiet and disappoint 5th District voters (yet again), in November.

Voters want a representative that lives in their community. They don't want a carpetbagger from outside."

Bullshit.....get outside of the Westside Tony.

The Missouri 5th District has four counties. Three of them rural. Who in the hell would vote for Cleaver in Ray, Layette and Saline would vote for that guy?

I said it once and I'll say it again. How does this guy keep getting elected?

Even in election years you never see Cleaver east of the Stadiums and south of Bannister. With the last two years of the Obama Regime this guy is prime for an upset.

  6. Cleaver is the shit ring that builds up in the toilet of Kansas City politics.

  7. Cleaver keeps getting elected because of the color of his skin.

  8. Howdy Doody is not the answer.

  9. Cleaver has already tried to move to the middle now that he has a more rural district. He is still a grifter, and grifters are usually charming.

  10. I'm no fan of Turk but name an incumbent that lives more than a day out two per year in her district.

  11. Jesus. He does look like howdy doody.

  12. His time has past7/28/14, 12:45 AM

Gone are Cleaver's glory days. He's no longer the most beloved Pastor in all the land. He's no longer the lover first Black Mayor. Nope. Instead he's the corrupt Congressman people loath. The tide is turning. Cleaver thinks he's a shoe-in. Don't count Turk out. We see what's happening. Not sure if exposure to chemicals has cause the Cleaver declined but what worked 20 years ago is not working today. He's no Ike Skelton... or maybe he is.

  13. Jacob Turk isn't running for the people of the 5th District. He's running because he's got a personal ax to grind with Cleaver. Cleaver is his personal bogeyman, and behind every bad break that comes Turk's way. All his campaign materials show an odd obsession with Cleaver. Should Cleaver go? Absolutely. But his replacement should be someone who lives in, cares about, and understands 5th District voters, and will represent them on the issues. You also have to ask Turk where all his money went. He doesn't do any real campaigning - a billboard here or there doesn't cost that much. Let's look at his payroll. Seems like running for Congress cycle after cycle has become a cottage industry and a paycheck for someone.

  14. All it takes is an honest look at the maps to see that Turk does indeed live right in middle of the 5th. Theres a very small skinny area that was "carved out" with Turk at the very tip of this. Its obvious it was done for almost the sole purpose of cutting Turk out of the 5th. Look at the maps people.

  15. Yep, but Republicans did it. Because he's a persistent loser.

  16. Done with milquetoast Turk, Burris has my vote. That is a guy who gets it.

  17. Burris has lived/worked in the 5th all his life!!!!! Vote for Burris!!
