Burden of Proof of Provisional Status Remains on Kansas City Public Schools
"The State Board of Education did not make a decision on Kansas City Public School's (KCPS) request for provisional accreditation today. There is not sufficient data available yet for KCPS to verify that they have earned provisional accreditation. Once the data are available, and the district is able to confirm that they have, in fact, earned such status, the Board will consider their request."

ReplyDeleteIs this news? The MAP scores aren't even out yet. In a couple of weeks the scores will be out and KCPS will have a score for 2014. Until then there is really nothing to discuss with regard to accreditation.

Why would the State Board of Education believe anything the KCPSD says? They have been promising for 30+ years that "this time, it's different." It is never different, and I see no evidence that anything has changed.
