KCTV5: Feds, EPA raid home in upscale Leawood neighborhood
Deets:
"Ahmed El-Sherif, founder of the American Muslim Council of Greater Kansas City.
"El-Sherif has been involved in some arguably valuable work in the metro for years, including interfaith get-together's for children's charities. But he's recently found himself in the middle of some negative press.
"Last October the feds seized El-Sherif's business, the Beta Chem laboratory in Lenexa, KS. The EPA said it found hazardous chemicals in the building where radioactive pharmaceutical compounds were made for medical research.
"Thursday the EPA raided El-Sherif's home. Neighbors tell KCTV5 off camera that investigators were out there all day."
