MUST SEE!!! TRAGIC SIGNS OF KANSAS CITY AIRPORT TERMINAL A NEGLECT!!!

The fight for the Kansas City Airport continues with an EXCLUSIVE/BREAKING NEWS FIRST LOOK at City Hall Aviation letting a vital resource fall into disrepair.

To wit . . .

KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS SHOW US RECENT EVIDENCE OF KCI AIRPORT NEGLECT!!!

Here's the word . . .

"This is an open jetway door at the closed and "secured for possible future re-use" terminal A at KCI. In addition to the obvious neglect of a valuable jetway and city asset, is this not also a security issue?"

Clearly, this is a sign of bad faith on the part of City Hall and maybe a FIRST LOOK showing that the single-terminal might be an inevitability if Aviation isn't committed to taking airport maintenance seriously and is treating the place like some kind of abandoned shopping mall.

  1. Just following the playbook of the Chiefs and Royals. They let cosmetic items deteriorate before the stadium upgrade vote, making the stadiums look in much worse condition. Do the same with the airport making it look like its beyond repair.

I remember the special video of his Fatness, Mayor James dancing with his new friends at the RNC when they popped into cowtown for a site visit. After seeing this photo, I close my eyes and envision the same bow tied turd dancing on our collective graves. The sad fact is that when I opened my eyes I realize that Mayor "Feel Good" James is a near lock to be re-elected for another term. What can I say but the feckless citizens are getting what they deserve.

First the hapless disgrace of of man Mayor Smart withnothinghouser. Now this dancing walrus.

    ITS TIME FOR MAYOR BOTELLO!!!!

I also note with disgust that former Lion of the Press Yael Abouhalkah has outlasted another co-worker. It looks like we are destined to have a local paper run by Mi-Ai Parrish and the feckless Yael. Watch out Mi-Ai, he's going to outlast you too. RIP Miriam Pepper although I cant say that I was sad to see her carted out of the building and tossed off the editorial board and, in the name of preserving Yael's salary, under the bus like a now uncountable number of Yael's old friends at the Star.

  3. You don't drop money into facilities that are being considered to be torn down.

    Dumbass.

You DO continue routine maintenance. This VanClown has been systematically devaluing our airport through shoddy management to create a false sense of needed replacement. I saw this happening years ago, brought it up to several council members and here we sit. Still paying the jerk to screw us over. And paying him a very nice salary indeed.

  5. This is sooo typical. Cerner wouldn't lift a finger at the Bannister Mall site until the evaluation was at its absolute lowest. Ditto Burns and Mac for their new acquisition.

  6. If they aren't going to maintain what they have why the hell give them more?

  7. Just another con game trying to force the city to blow millions that would not have been needed if the airport crooks had done their job. Any vote to send a plug nickel to the airport authority needs a condition that they fire those incompetent fucktards who thought they could be coy in blackmailing the city. Put their asses in the street so we never see this shit again at KCI. This is complete dereliction.

  8. I didn't see this on the front page of the KC Star.

  9. This will be the next big stupid project that the public will shoot down, right after the idiotic streetcar plan.

The airport runs exceptionally well compared to many large airports; it need only be properly maintained and updated. Screw you Sly James.

I wouldn't be so sure, Baby Boomers weaned on infinite growth and endless-consumerism diets for decades will pull the lever for a new airport no matter the cost.
All they know how to do is build meaningless shit. Just look at the America they've created.

  11. Yup. The municipal scumbags deliberately let the airport turn into a slum (like most of Kansas City) so the locals will go for a new terminal.

This is as close to imaginative government policy as you're ever going get in Killer City.

  12. The airport runs so well because it has way less traffic -- planes, passengers -- than most big-city airports. Two-thirds of its terminals have been shut down, remember?

  13. lol THis is funny. You folks have absolutely no Idea how the jetbridge works at all. I work at KCI for Delta. The jetbridges are old. Those doors being open are not a security issue. The jetbridges don't even work half the time. We are always calling the city to come fix them. We take care of our jetbridges but, They are over 40 years old. Delta has the oldest jetbridges in the airport. It's time for a change. We have so many accidents with those old jetbridges, they are shakey and they hit the aircraft all the time because the lack a sensor like the newer jetbridges. These jetbridges are crap. No use upkeeping them when they DON'T WORK safely.
