MUST READ!!! NEW YORK TIMES EDITORIAL BOARD DESTROYS FAILED KANSAS GOV. SAM BROWNBACK TAX CUT STRATEGY!!!

The New York Times Editorial Board reminds us that the economic boom and grown that was promised by Kansas GOP economists simply didn't materialize - Kansas’ Ruinous Tax Cuts - "There was only one reason for the state’s plummeting revenues, and that was the spectacularly ill-advised income tax cuts that Mr. Brownback and his fellow Republicans engineered in 2012 and 2013. The cuts, which largely benefited the wealthy, cost the state 8 percent of the revenue it needs for schools and other government services. As the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities noted, that’s about the same as the effect of a midsize recession. Moody’s cut the state’s debt rating in April for the first time in at least 13 years, citing the cuts and a lack of confidence in the state’s fiscal management."

  1. Cue the "Oh, the NY Times, they're a liberal Commie rag" crowd. Then they won't read the article or counter the numbers with anything to dispute them. It's all facts and math. It's no difficult. But Rush says the Times is liberal so that's your answer.

  5. Another liberal rag slams Brownback. It gets pretty old. *yawn*

The Star's hatred of him and love affair with Davis has shown they are not to be considered a true news source, as there is no objectivity or fair-handedness in their reporting.

  6. Yes, the missing $300 million is a liberal plot. The cuts to basic services, like education, also a liberal plot. The liberal agenda is, uh, something.... Bad? That's why we hate them. $300 million is just a road bump.

  7. Again we quote the left wing mouthpiece known as the New York Times. How 'bout the Washington Post or the Wall Street Journal or any rag that isn't known as a PR tool of the Democratic party?

Stadler won't allow this bullshit! Sue from pRkville as dan from kansas will stop it. Patty Tooley from Maryland sez no. St. Louis suburbs sales no. 9. Again, the best economic development policy for KCMO seems to be sitting back and let Kansas shoot itself in the head.

  11. Please evaluate effects of New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, and California tax steategies before labeling Kansas a failure. Kansas will be far better of than them in the long run.

  13. 3:03, then only the Koch family will be able to afford it. But hey, the Middle Class cant see beyond its own reflection to see how they are being manipulated and abused. The rich have never been richer than they are now. Not even in the middle ages in the times of the peasants and lords. Wake the fuck up people. You're giving away everything you have to benefit the wealthy. This thing about the poor taking it, that's a false flag. The poor are a bunch of mooches, yes, but as a percentage of total outlay and cost, the rich are 100x worse than the poor.

  14. Amazing. 6:35 calls it and the next few posters do exactly what he said they would do. They don't bring up anything to dispute the article just that it's "lefty" and liberal. You guys probably think Sarah Palin is one of the smartest people in the world.
