KC man faces 13 felony charges related to attempted bus and car hijackings

"Prosecutors say the suspect is a prior and persistent offender with at least four drug, robbery and burglary convictions under his belt.
"Witnesses FOX 4 spoke with Friday say this incident takes the cake. He could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted of on all 13 counts.
"Prosecutors say the suspect just hours earlier, caught on surveillance video, can be seen walking up to a metro bus carrying nine people. Police say high on PCP and carrying a gun, he tried to fight his way in.
“’I’ll kill everyone here. Let me on this.’ It was just so many vulgar words and a lot of them were relating to him wanting to kill someone,” a witness said.
And somehow Kansas City elected leaders think more mass transit that's constantly under siege is going to boost the local economy.

the cost of incarceration is high, but the cost or recidivism is higher. much higher. and you can never put a price tag to the cost of re-offending to the victims. the criminal justice system needs to learn that violent criminals not only shouldn't be rehabilitated, but CAN'T be rehabilitated (in most cases). This guy should have never been on the street to even commit this crime. Sadly with just 4 felony convictions he's about the norm however.

77% are re-arrested within 5 years. of that 77% half of those we re-arrested within 6 months actually and 50% were re-arrested within one year
and i would guess that the figures for Jackson county are even worse. There's a reason why criminals from the hood don't often commit crimes in platte and to a lesser extent clay counties. they don't fuck around.
This is just another fine example of the niggers in Kansas City. For the most part, they're all just like this son-of-a-bitch and .38 behind the ear would fix the bunch of them.

ReplyDeleteHe should face life in prison but... the "Revs" will once again interfere with justice, talk about redemption and early release and that will be the end of it.They will stand up for people they don't know, suggest that this guy is a misunderstood alter-boy and commit to overseeing his community service.
