    "Police shut the highway down about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday because a man on is on the bridge, threatening to harm himself."

    Okay, fine...taunt him* for 5 minutes and if he doesn't off himself, shoot him and get traffic moving again.

    *Tell him that several officers are gangbanging his girlfriend at this very moment and podcasting it. That should do it.
