ReplyDeleteI have sympathy for the kids as they didn't ask to be put in this situation. But I have a few questions. Seriously, what kind of parent ships their kid(s) off to the border knowing they will never see them again? This kind of person should STOP having kids. If we approve billions of dollars to take care of all these kids and let them in, what is to stop millions of more "parents" from doing the exact same thing? I'm not a heartless bastard but I had kids with every intention of raising them and I am doing so. Look at how our veterans are treated or our long-term unemployed, or any other person in need. Why is it we can't help them but we can help other countries citizens? It doesn't make sense. Why is it other countries have so much say so in our policies? And I'm not blaming Obama here, the border has been a problem for decades. And don't think for a second terrorists don't notice how porous our borders are.

ReplyDeleteWe should be glad that anybody at all wants to come here. They speak Spanish? So what. This town was created by immigrants who spoke French.
Immigrants always learn English here. They do all the unpleasanat jobs the natives are too good for, including the ones in construction and roofing that pay pretty good. They also do the high-class jobs (medicine, engineering, sciences, computers) that require long and rigorous schooling, something the average lazy-ass American now avoids like the plague.
You want a society with no immigrants? Yeah, right. An America where everybody works at McDonald's or Walmart would be such a wonderful place.
America is fast becoming a place where people are working at just walmart and mcdonalds, Mexico strictly enforces some of the harshest immigration laws in the world that summarily deport or jail most who cross Mexican borders illegally, much less attempt to work inside Mexico or become politically active.

Let me give you an analogy that you might be able to understand. Take a 500 sf studio apartment and just start putting as many people as you can into it. Ooops, it's full. Now what? Block more people from coming in, or put a process in place for adding more? No, just keep adding. It's the dumbest argument on earth.
