Kansas City Accepts $4 MIL TO Fight AIDS

Realization that it's a round world and global problems still confront Kansas City's urban core . . .

Ordinance #140541: Accepting and approving a one-year grant award in the amount of $4,486,458.00 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to provide funding for Ryan White Part A and Minority AIDS Initiative services.

Still, the cash sent this way is one of the better local initiatives and much needed given the ongoing threat this global health problem presents even amid controversial new drug therapy.

  6. Don't worry, KCMO will find someway to misuse this grant for the toy train. Hmmm, let's see ... someone with AIDS might ride the toy train to a seminar about AIDS, so presto, that money should be used for the toy train.
